Balloon d'Or

That suit!

I think its a cool suit - the problem is the bowtie - dont match the bowtie to the blazer. Its ok if the suit itself is black and black is black or bowtie would be fine if the suit itself is black but to wear polkadot matching tie and blazer - nah not for me

I would go for Ribery tbh. Ronaldo is undoubtedly the best player RIGHT NOW as Messi is injured, but he didn't win any trophies and Ribery was Bayern's best player along with Muller in a team that won the treble, won 2 of those 3 trophies at a canter and thrashed a world class side 7-0 on aggregate in the semi final in the process. Might hurt Ribery that Bayern were more of a solid all round team, they could have lost their best player whoever you judge that to be and would have arguably still won the treble, no way you could say the same for Barca and Madrid.

I think it has to be Ronaldo this year, but almost by default. I think Messi is still the best player and up until the point he got injured was probably still outscoring him in the calendar year, but Ronaldo's stats this year are obscene (although probably no better than Messi's would have been had he remained fit). I think what will **** off Ronaldo though is if he does win it, everyone will only say he won it because Messi was injured, and that will probably hurt his pride more than not winning it at all.

Ronaldo for me. Still think overall I would go for him generally above Messi but then I have seen him play week in week out here in England and he is easily better now than he was then.

Leaked reports are that this is the FIFA World XI Team: Neuer, Alves, Silva, Ramos, Lahm, Ribery, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo

I particularly liked this paragraph on fifa.com:

What is the deadline for voting?

Coaches, captains and specialist journalists are informed of the deadline when they are invited to vote. The original deadline for the 2013 vote was 15 November, which FIFA and France Football decided to extend by two weeks to 29 November on account of an insufficient number of votes having been received.

Insufficient votes with the correct names on them would be more apt.

You'd think even with all the tax that Lionel has paid in full and promptly, he'd still be able to afford to pay someone to pick him out a suit that doesn't make him look like Paul Daniels' warm up guy?
