American politics

Your critims of Biden are that he’s too right wing lol

And? You said you wanted to see if I had criticisms the Dems. The Dems are not left wing in any world. They are economically and socially right wing. Unless you have an understanding of right and left that isn't based on political theory and just what you read on social media?

I await some humility from you.

That’s fair I was not clear with my pooint and apolagise for that. You’ve explained one of my main issue with the Democratic Party.

Do you hold any view points or support any political ideas that are not to the left?

Observer just following this discussion (and finding it hard not to involve LOL)...could I suggest you actually define what current political ideas feel 'to the left' for you (again in 2026 context)?

:-), got it. Maybe just a few key ones?

Support nationalising key utilities. Don’t think we should be paying for basic necessities like water, electricity, internet. Public transport as well.

Very much anti Israel. Believe they have been and continue to commit a genocide in Palestine. Favor diplomacy over military intervention in almost all cases.

Anti Gun. I think it should be incredibly difficult to own a gun. Anti libertarian in a lot of ways. Support high levels of survalence etc

Support heavy regulation of banking industry. Don’t support a wiping of student debt specifically but other types of debt, medical specifically. Regulation of Food industry.

In the US support a Medicare for all type healthcare program. Support massive pay increases for teachers. Should be one of the highest paid professions. Support a much higher corporation tax. Anti Death Penalty.

I can’t vote in the US but voted Labour in 2005 in the only election I’ve been able to vote in. Wouldn’t have voted for Brexit although not pro EU either just felt once were in better of sticking it out. My wife and I are fairly aligned politically and she tends to vote for who I would suggest she votes for. 2012 Obama, 2016 Clinton, 2020 Biden. In 2024 I would have not voted but my wife voted Trump.
