It feels inevitable doesn't it.

Something is brewing for sure, but equally, this guy is no Thanos. The helpless feeling is something learned. A tidal wave of crime and impunity prime people for the despair that authoritarians need them to feel.

Trump has been cheating in smaller ways this entire election cycle - bribes, voter roll purges, fudging with the mail in voting - all of which would be a bridge too far for any other US president. But you would still have to think that there is a line that, if he crosses it, will kick off a huge public backlash. Similarly, if that little goblin Johnson chooses not to seat elected Dems in the House, things will escalate fast. Johnson doesn't have a backbone and is already making noises about leaving, so he will cave, IMO.

We will know soon enough, I suppose.
