American politics

Remember that time Trump warned us that Obama would soon attack Iran to show how tough he was? I know one person (and his cult) who doesn't.

That's true, and it shows how intertwined the oldies are with big money/big business. Eric Adams is running as an independent too. I think someone like Mamdani is just what the democratic party needs, TBF. They need change and new energy, not just the same old faces.
Exactly. The old guard does not want to move aside, but they are not made for this moment. The US is circling the drain and the folks over there are crying out for someone to fight for them. Mamdani is exactly the fighter they need.

I am actually quite worried that he will win it.

Small to no chance. The members of the committee are Norwegian ex-politicians. While representing a wide spectrum, they're all fairly liberal. Much like they gave Obama one for the sake of it because he was supposed to bring change, I just can't see this one happening.

I so hope you are right. I haven’t ever taken much notice of how the recipient is chosen. I just fear politics getting in the way.
Of course if he doesn’t win it will be the most STUPID decision EVER and the prize will be WORTHLESS anyway.
Maybe it should go to the Qatari negotiators who brokered the deal with Iran and Israel, the earlier ceasefire with Israel and Hamas (although not long lasting) and the newly signed DRC/ Rwanda ceasefire.

This, we can all claim to have done more for world peace than anyone, that is all he is doing, its claims. He didn't solve Ukraine and Russia, others negotiated Israel ............... but the Roy Cohn training seems to be a relevant today as ever
