ACN - Ade goes but Benny stays

Togo could quite easily go out in the group stages. Senegal did that at the last ACN and Saudi Sportswashing Machine only lost Ba for 2 games.

When Ade goes we'll still have:

Defoe
Dempsey
Dembele

All capable of playing up front.

They're capable, but they aren't real goal-getters, so we'll just have to try our best to keep JD out of injury, and buy a new striker in January.

I'm amazed Ade is putting himself back in the firing line for ACN after the incident two years ago.

I also cannot see Levy or AvB letting us risk our campaign but not having a main third striker. You can't expect both Ade and Defoe to go uninjured for the rest of the season. This is Spurs, the one thing we excel at is our injury record.

This isn't good news

We have to buy someone.. Defoe doesn't last playing 90mins when playing the lone role and there is nobody after that.

It's scraping the barrell a bit. We'd also be relying on him getting no injuries/suspensions during that month too. I suppose we've not seen Dempsey tried in the loan role yet.

I'd much rather we got a second specialist #9 on board asap, and Togo's win today make it even more essential IMO.

I think we will go back and close the Damiao deal...that's my hunch...

We are still short up-front, irrespective of the ANC. We need another striker.

Given that Falcao, Llorente and Damiao are out of our reach for a variety of reasons, I would prefer a young stiker that can play on the wings as well. Someone fast, strong and hungry - and can score goals. Is that Willian. I am not sure as I havent seen enough of him. Who else fits the bill?

Defoe has shown he can get goals when played up front this season so im not overly eager to go out and buy a replacement for Adebayor for when he is away, as that would not be fair to Defoe -

get in someone to cover for JD

Yes, lets not get someone some TOO good. It would be a bad a idea to have too many good players.

Oh and lets play Dawson and livermore, they're nice guys.

And friedel of course, hes a nice man.

Absolutely not Willian, he isn't a striker in any way shape or form. We needed and still need a proven goal scorer.

maybe there is something in the Zaha rumours. 10 mill Jan bid

or how about we take advantage of Togo beating Gabon and buy Gabon's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ......boy is gonna be a star

We can recall Harricane.

I think Kane and Defoe getting a run of games in the first team could be pretty good to be honest. But yeah pretty sure we can't recall him. A shame he's got injured though.

January will be the month of the Lancaster Bomber.
