Aaron Lennon

There may be good reasons why he is being forced out the door (if the rumours are true), but he has been a great player for us over the years. I know he probably never fulfilled his true potential and that there were some weaknesses in his game, but ever since he broke into the team under Jol, until now, we always looked a better side when he was in it than when he was out. When he was out there on the pitch, he worked incredibly hard for the team. He was always a threat with his pace, especially when he was utilized correctly. He is also actually an intelligent footballer, which seems to go unnoticed, but he is good at picking the right option and he plays for the team rather than for personal glory. Another thing I liked about him is that he always seemed genuinely happy whenever we scored a goal, even if wasn't involved. Many players doesn't seem that fuzzed if someone else scores, but he had his arms over his head and sprinted towards the goalscorer.

4-4 at the Emirates
The run and pass at San Siro
Breaking our Chel53a hoodoo
Last second winner at home against Liverpool
His numerous assists for Defoe and Crouch the year we qualified for the Champions League (possibly his most productive season)

Some memories I am sure even those of you who criticized him the harshest will remember for years to come.

I am sure he will get a great reception when he returns to the Lane with a new club, and deservedly so.

Another favorite moment --his volleyed cross back to Tainio for him to score in the 4-3 win at West Ham. Tremendous technique for which i think he was underated.

We could be in for more happy Aaron Lennon pics. He is close to a £5m move back to Everton after Spurs lowered asking price. #coys #efc

Aaron Lennon has joined Everton on Loan until the end of the season. Good luck Aaron, you didn't deserve to be treated so badly.

I think, like a lot of people in their 20's/early 30's, I have a lot of love for Lennon. I think it's the right time for him to move on, but he's been a massive player for our club over the last ten years. I think of him a lot like Daws and Defoe; maybe not world-class or on Keane's level, but a brilliant player at times and a consistent presence in my Spurs fandom over the last ten years. I will always remember him and Bale on the wings under Redknapp and him scoring those goals against Chelsea and Arsenal.

Good luck to him, and I hope he tears it up for Everton.

Love the little guy, so sad its ended the way it has, Im sure one day the truth will come out. I would love to know the full ins and outs of the fallout with POCH/LEVY

I wish Lennon every success at Everton (except when he's playing against Spurs). I always liked him as a player and he's been involved in several of our best moments over the past decade.

In one sense I'm sad to see him go... very much the end of an era... but he clearly had no future at the club, so it's best for all concerned that he moves on.

Phew, back in the black. For a full day there we were in danger of DOING A LEEDS DOING A LEEDS DOING A LEEDS DOING A LEEDS DOING A LEEDS !!!!!!?!?!?!!!?!?!?!

Good to know we're now comfortably back into negative/neutral net spend territory by most accounts.

Sigh. Good luck, Azza. And I mean this sincerely.....thanks for all the memories. All of them.
