TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs ASTON VILLA - OMT

Harry will start with the same side as last match providing no injuries.

Maybe play Gallas at LB instead of Rose as Rose's defensive skills are shocking to say the least and bring Ledley back to CB.

Once again we top the injury table!!

K Walker Ankle/Foot Injury 6th May 12 (expected return date)
L Modric Ankle/Foot Injury 6th May 12
S Parker Calf/Shin Injury 6th May 12
B Assou-Ekotto Dislocated Shoulder no return date
N Kranjcar Knee Injury no return date
Gomes Cartilage Knee Injury no return date
M Dawson Ankle/Foot Injury 6th Jun 12
D Bentley Knee Injury no return date
J Jenas Ruptured Achilles 5th Jun 12
T Huddlestone Ankle/Foot Injury 14th Jun 12

Thing with that is, Walker and Modric will both play against Aston Villa and arguably Parker, if not then he'll be on the bench. Ekotto is the only other starter out.. Kranjcar injured just means bench space for dos Santos and Gomes out means Carlo on the bench and he's been on the bench most of the time anyway.

Dawson means we have King on the bench, Bentley and Jenas weren't even Spurs players this season and Hudd's been out all year.

I see Chris Herd, Fabian Delph and James Collins have been doing their best to get prepared for Sunday's game by getting chucked out of a nightclub in Birmingham.

Aston Villa's Fabian Delph, Chris Herd and James Collins apologise for brawl

Aston Villa trio Fabian Delph, Chris Herd and James Collins have apologised after being caught in an early morning nightclub brawl, following the club’s annual awards ceremony.

The players have since been fined by the struggling Midlands outfit, although Delph has been dealt with more leniently as he was acting as a peacemaker.

Villa, in a club statement, confirmed: ‘The club dealt with this matter internally on Tuesday and the players in question have been disciplined.

‘The fines are being split between two charities the club are promoting at the game against Spurs on Sunday - Cure Leukaemia and Anthony Nolan.

‘Our players attended the club's end-of-season dinner on Monday night and training on Tuesday was limited to players who did not start in Saturday's Barclays Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion and those not carrying injuries.

‘As a club, the players, management and fans are completely focused on Sunday's game against Spurs at Villa Park.’

Wales international Collins, 28, said: ‘I'm sorry for what has happened and I take responsibility for my actions.

‘It does not show me in a very good light and does not put the club in a very good light.

‘I know I should not have been out in a club with my wife after the end-of-season dinner at that time in the morning and I was wrong to be in that position.

‘It was a misunderstanding and was resolved quickly but I understand how it looks and I apologise for that. As a senior, experienced player, I understand I am in a position of responsibility.

‘I let myself get into a position in which I didn't act responsibly and I apologise for this. It was Monday night, it was early in the week and I didn't have training the next day.

‘But I know I've let myself down, I've let the club down, I've let the manager down and most of all I've let down the fans of Aston Villa who have been great to me.’

Herd, 23, who has established himself as a first-team player this season, said: ‘I would like to apologise for what happened on Monday night and I apologise for being out at that time.

‘My actions on the night were out of character. Even if I felt at the time that the prior situation inside the nightclub had not been dealt with properly, it was no one's intention to be involved in any trouble.

‘In fact, we were accompanied by our girlfriends and wives. But I should not have acted in the manner in which I did.

‘I'll do everything I can to make it up to the club and the fans, as they have both been fantastic since I've joined the team.

‘My immediate aim is to help the team to finish the season strongly and to secure our position in the Premier League.'

Delph, 22, who is currently injured, said: ‘I was sober, I was in control of my actions and I did try to calm down the situation. I didn't hit out or strike anyone but I should not have been there and I was wrong to be in this position.’

The incident occurred at 2.45am on Tuesday morning outside Broad Street’s Gatecrasher nightclub.

Funny, I didn't see them in the video that shows the incident.

Has Rose's shocking defensive skills ever cost us a goal?

Emirates Marketing Project away, there was a short corner which he could have closed down quicker which led to Crouch's own goal. Not exactly him fudging everything up with a rash mistake or anything, but I recall that he could have been more alert in the circumstances.

Some more match facts for the Villa game:

BBC Sport - Aston Villa v Tottenham

  • Tottenham are unbeaten in their last six league matches against Aston Villa. Spurs recorded 2-1 victories home and away last season, with Rafael van der Vaart scoring twice on both occasions and Marc Albrighton netting Villa's goal each time. Emmanuel Adebayor scored both goals in Tottenham's 2-0 win at White Hart Lane this season.
  • Spurs have lost just one of their last six matches at Villa Park.
  • If they win their last two matches they will finish with 71 points, which will be their highest top-flight tally since the 1986-87 season (also 71 points).

Aston Villa supporters pay for advert urging Alex McLeish to go

The problems continue to pile up for Alex McLeish after it emerged that Aston Villa supporters have taken the unprecedented step of paying for an advert on the back page of Saturday's Birmingham Mail calling for the manager to go. Fans have handed over about ?ú700 for the advertising space, which it is understood will spell out a message to the Villa board that McLeish should never have been appointed in the first place and that his position has become untenable.

It is just about the last thing McLeish needs ahead of Sunday's crucial home game against Tottenham Hotspur and on the back of the unsavoury events off the field earlier this week that saw Chris Herd, James Collins and Fabian Delph involved in a drunken brawl outside a Birmingham nightclub after the club's end-of-season awards ceremony.

Yo!
Anyone know the best way for me to get a ticket for the game tomorrow please? Tried our website but there's only the Fulham game. Are tickets sold out, or could I get be on the turnstile?

Cheers
