OMT ***Tottenham Hotspur v Real Madrid***

The UEFA site says if either Spurs or los otros hombres (so easy when you speak 11 languages) win tonight, they clinch qualification to the knock out round.

I don't quite understand. Say Spurs win (SPURS WIN!!). And Dortmund win, too. That gives us 10 points, RM 7 and Dortmund 4.

All three teams would have two games remaining. It's possible if we lost both, Dortmund won both and RM beat Apoel, we'd all end up on 10 points. So how would a tie be broken that would allow UEFA to declare the winner tonight is through?

Because in the results between us and Real we'd win the tiebreaker, by virtue of our draw away and win at home. Vice versa if Real wins.

Which means, if we win tonight and the other results go the way you assumed, Real would play Europa League.

Just finished watching the youth game. We won 3-2
This may be a good omen.
Last time in Madrid, the youth team drew and so did the senior team.
So :).
BTW, I didn't know Scot Parker was our youth coach.
He was quite animated on the touch lines.

Oh, and the main game starts at 11 pm Kenya time :(
I will probably fall asleep.
I have already had my quota of Tusker lagers, and being a weekday, I have no
fancy food being cooked.
Just making some toasted sandwiches filled with prawns, grated cheese and jalapeno peppers.

Lets go and win this game. Would be historic.

Those attending, make us proud with your support. I will listen to you till I probably fall asleep.

What kind of cheese, my friend?

Listening to podcasts recently... fans have been saying it was such a huge honour to play at The Bernabeu... to grace the same pitch as those idols... to be allowed to chase after these Gods...

I don't feel that way at all. We are Tottenham Fracking Hotspur FFS. We belong at this level. We dipped down but now we are back up where we should be.

I'm more pumped about playing the Goons in a few weeks, than playing this lot of wannabe galactico hipster money grabbers

One risk tonight is that Modric could get more time on the ball - in the game out there, we played with Sissoko and Eriksen either side of Winks in midfield so had three in there. Tonight we look to have two proper CMs, but then Dele and Eriksen off Kane - those two will need to track back a good bit. Dier will likely be spending his time tracking Isco
