Transfer Rumour Thread

i'd say a lot of that would be based on his excellent performances at international level. he really is (still) a talented prospect.

he's still young and i believe would tear it up in italy or spain.

Depends on where he goes. Milan and Rome are the obvious choices in Italy, Madrid and Barca in Spain. Having said that, I have been to Valencia and that has and excellent array of bars and night-life too...

Podolski to the Goons confirmed. Undisclosed fee.

interesting to see other clubs getting some business done as early as possible. So I guess we will have a free run at the scraps on transfer deadline day

Podolski reportedly sold for about ?ú10-12 million. Good business.

Now watch us sign Emile Heskey on August 31st.

Who's this Heskey guy? just checked his wikipedia and he sounds amazing, especially the latter part

"Heskey plays as a forward with pace, being a powerful targetman with physical strength and is hard working.[2][79][118] His play has been likened to "a blunt instrument with which to bludgeon defences"

Tough one this year with the Euros. Show your hand early and take the risk, or see if you can pluck a player based on their Euro performance but at a potentially inflated price. I would prefer the former myself, as I don't think in this modern mass media world there are that many unknown stars in the making.

exactly

but Levy has to be strong, and as soon as possible. If he wants Redknapp to remain, extend his deal, give him some funds, and both need to get their thinking caps on and go out and do deals asap. If Levy wants a change in management, again he needs to act as soon as the season is over and back the new man to make changes. However a new man will want time to assess the squad, see what he has or doesnt have, and i see a new guy making signings well into pre season, but hopefully in time for players to be at the club by the time the first game kicks off

I agree with this. Day after last game of the season. Either fire Redknapp or back him. And if he does fire him, do it properly and be a man about it. E.g. don't do it over the phone, or leak it to the press during a game so that the crowd and players know before the Manager and you don't have to deliver the initial blow yourself.

100% this

M Marin said today that Spurs were in for him too but he chose Chelsea instead...always though he was a c n u t:)

Kagawa at Dortmund has rejected a new contract offer and said he plans to move to England......good little player, well that is until he choses to play for someone other than Spurs

They are in the final of the champions league, that's kind of a big deal for players.

Although it does make me wonder why he has agreed to sign now, instead of waiting to see if they get Champions League football next season...

rumours are that Liverpool have done a deal for Rasmus Elm at AZ Alkmaar.....we were heavily linked with him too

"Chelsea are my dream club," Marin told Sport Bild.

"I'm happy that I get the chance to play for them. It is a challenge for me.

"Tottenham Hotspur were also interested, but I opted for Chelsea, because they suit me well."

i stand by him being a little runt:)

That is fair enough, i still wouldn't put it past him to claim Real madrid or Barcelona are his dream club in the next couple of years though.
