The Official 2016/17 Premier League Thread

I always fancy that Liverpool will trip themselves up regardless.

But this thing, the Wenger malaise. He could get replaced and their situation nosedives with their new appointment.

Dealing with the here and now ... Arse getting CL instead of EL is not good, it just isn't and I'm finding it difficult to get my head around it, that a fellow Spur does not see it.

because I have far more dislike for liverpool, irrespective of relevance to us

You have to have lived in a town full of them for your entire life to truly understand how clamish they are. I live in Hertfordshire, it's predominantly Spurs and Arsenal fans with the unhealthy number of United, Chelsea and Liverpool fans too.

Liverpool don't have a St Totteringhams Day the last time I checked.

I grew up in Essex, in my school I was one of 3 Spurs fans, there was one arsenal fan and about 250 liverpool fans

Fair enough. But that being said, I don't see Can, Milner, Coutinho and co doing selfies at our ground when they win, inventing a day that celebrates our inability to no longer be able to finish above them in the table and openly saying how much they hate us during a trophy parade.

I will be cheering on Liverpool and Emirates Marketing Project on to keep Arsenal out of the top 4 as much as I will be cheering on Spurs on Sunday.

fair enough

there is no right answer here, it's completely subjective, we are all free to hate on whoever we wish

Spot on, the club i hate most is Man Utd ( family members are ST holders there) but i hope they do get the 4th spot. Utd will have extra money if they qualify or not where L'pool and the Arse will struggle without the CL money.

Unfortunately, I fear that we'll have to lose to Man Utd for them to finish 4th. And I don't want this to happen at the final WHL game.

Not completely subjective, in general the 3 London clubs have stood in the way of our progress more than any other teams in recent years. That is the basis of my dislike.

Could not agree more. Chelsea winning the CL and Hazard ends up going there instead of joining us, winning the title this season, West Ham beating us this season, last season, lasagne gate etc. Arsenal finishibg above us by 1 point or close to more often than not.

Poll the people that go go WHL every game and I bet you'd struggle to get more than 500 people who dislike Liverpool more than the 3 London clubs.

generally speaking, is the opinion of a fan who lives near enough and has sufficient time and disposable income to go to games regularly more valid than one who does not?

That's because in their world they've won the league as soon as it starts.

No of course not, just saying that I don't actually know any Spurs fans in real life who hate Liverpool above Arsenal, Chelsea or anyone else.

Wish something can jinx Chelsea and make them lose all their remaining matches while making us win all our matches. Will feel very bitter if we lose out on the league title for the second season in a row.
