Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

As long as it isn't Budweiser I'm fine with it. Budweiser is like having sex in a boat. It's fudging close to water.
It is safe to say that whatever happens, one third of people will be very happy and one third will be absolutely outraged at the indignity.
Hopefully there will be a choice of a few brands, plus the in-house brew.

That's just taking me to their feed rather than a specific post about Wembley - anything interesting?

Club backing Wembley bid to Brent for 20 more capacity events.

http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/wembley-stadium-update-260117/

The application is actually for up to an additional 31 events at full capacity :

The application seeks to establish a temporary cap to accommodate up to an additional 31 sporting events at Wembley Stadium between 1 August 2017 and 31 July 2018, where the available spectator capacity is increased from 51,000 up to 90,000.

Which I suppose would take in potential home legs for CL/EL and the domestic cups as well as all PL games. Wow.

interesting to read that the Foundation have been working in the borough with schools etc. Sweetening them up!

Bit of a quid pro quo considering the Tottenham Foundation seems to be rather good at the charitable and social outreach activity.

Brady slagging us off in her column today

3 cheers for Spurs who announce that the crowd in their new stadium will be extra loud due to acoustic technology involving an aluminium-lined, curved roof and padded seats

We didn't consider such additions at the London Stadium. And anyway we like to think Hammers fans can make enough noise to raise our own spectacular roof

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Yep. Like a moth to a flame. (Although I expected other fans might seize on that headline without looking at all the detail).
She's obsessed with slagging us off. It must be really, really, really galling for her and the Dildo brothers to look at what we are building and then look at what they are stuck with. Especially after their 'victory' over Levy. Well played, sir. :D:D:D

Oh, and Karen : it's not your roof.

I know - the sheer cheek of it. LLDC should sue, else they'll have to constantly explain to interested venue partners 'no, no, they just rent the place, we can clean the stink and gaudy claret and blue stuff out in time for your event, no problem.'

There are lots of other things you didn't consider you bloated cow...crowd segregation, fan safety, policing, steward training, pitch views.....

But at least you personally picked out the skirting boards for the corporate restaurants. Iconic. World class.

Actually, it does seem to have backfired :

Didn't she harp on about our roof making everything noisy?
She really needs to stop digging out Spurs, for her own sake. The more attention she pays them, the more everyone will start to realise just how much better Levy is at his job than she is at hers.
Is that the same "spectacular roof" that she admitted last week doesn't come out far enough so we can't have any seats nearer the pitch coz people would get wet ?

More Brady b*llocks, didn't consider of course not as its rented
Padded seats for all and not miles from the pitch, luxury !

It's amazing how she has morphed from a successful businesswoman into to a an attention seeking celebrity, next stop "The Jungle" with other z listers ?

Actually, it does seem to have backfired :

It is an incredibly poorly run club just focussed on the short-term. The stadium thing is one example - flog theirs and move into a stadium which isn't remotely fit for playing football in, but doing so just because its cheap.

Payet is clearly off to Marseille so they spend the cash on 33 year old Fonte (£8m) and now £10m on 29-year old Snodgrass. Granted, Payet is 29 as well but again it smacks of short-term-ism. The odd thing is that you could justify taking short term gambles if you thought that in that short term period you would, for example, qualify for the CL and therefore make a pile of cash however they're a long way behind the top 6, behind Everton and no better than a host of clubs like Southampton. The way that club is run is a joke. That said, I don't feel sorry for their fans because generally they have the same level of intelligence as creatures which you find living under rocks

Have you seen their training ground. That is cheap as chips.
