Fixture & Ticket News 2016/17

Just received the email from the ticket office, I suspect that I will get another one a few days before the match to say more are available as has been the case with every match I've applied for this season...

Same here. The e-mails are out, booooooo

Just got the email now.....dear John indeed.

Update to the success rate -

Palace - Didn't apply
Liverpool - No problem on LPs - South Lower applied for North/South upper as max
Sunderland - Didn't apply
Emirates Marketing Project - Didn't apply
Leicester - Unsuccessful in Ballot, was offered one via returns
West Ham - No problem on LPs - South Upper applied for North/South Upper as max
Swansea - Didn't apply
Hull City - Didn't apply - Purchased ticket on general sale, South Lower
Burnley - Didn't apply
Chelsea - No problem on LPs - South Upper applied for North/South as Max
Stoke City - Unsuccessful in Ballot
Everton - Unsuccessful in Ballot

So three times in the ballot and three times a no-go, pretty annoying but with it being the last season it is just one of those things. Won't have this problem next season and obviously the season after whether it be under ST rules or Membership. Only thing I can do is be reasonably thankful that the final two Cat A games shouldn't be a problem.

Unsuccessful 5 on the bounce for us now

Nah, Burnley,Villa,Boro,Stoke and Everton

Very frustrating. Only thing I can say is that it won't be like this again. Its never going to be a perfect system and ideally when you have lost in the ballot that many times they should guarantee you a ticket in a future B/C game but it would be so time consuming to do I just don't know if its feasible.

Can only hope the odd few tickets come back for Stoke and Everton but I think at this point it is unlikely.

So, I started looking back at previous ballot results to see if there was any kind of trend. Nothing really particular, but thought I'd post the detail :

% Applications Successful may not be overly meaningful other than as a high level figure, as obviously I cant factor in how many applications there were for each price point vs how many seats at each price point.
The last two ballots have seen big jumps in application numbers : maybe as I said earlier because more people are making an effort to get to a game before we move out, or because we are doing well, or maybe due to the increased number of memberships sold ahead of the Gent tickets going on sale. Regardless of reason, it is going to get harder as the season goes on, I am sure.
Also, the LP cut-off has been surprising low for the CAT A games so far. I can't see that remaining so low for Woolwich and Utd. However at least it won't be impacted by any newly signed up members.

I had a look at the LP status on the OS :

Obviously these will all have changed by the application dates for Woolwich and Utd, but based on the status today, and using the average seat availablity so far (c 5500) then anything above 200 LPs (as of now) should guarantee a ticket, and probably a bit lower. Pretty meaningless now, but it gives a ballpark feel for what might be enough.

Good work there matey.

Thing is now, as we countdown in games.

13168 for Everton. I fully expect over 14,000 for Soton and probably near 15k for the final 2 B/C matches in April.

I thought we had a decent total, but hats off to those 29 members with over 600pts. Takes some doing nowadays with the limited availability of away tickets for members

the cut off for Chelsea at home was 47 or 49 points I think. Can't see it going above 100 even for the last 2 home games- might be wrong though

You should count yourself lucky! I had to fork out 100£ for a ticket in North Upper for the Stoke game!
