***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v Southampton***

36pts from 18 matches, how many times have we done that in the PL era?

The 'Mind the Gap' campaign is the only recent one where we've had more points after 18 games I think... although our current goal difference is superior...

2016/17: 36pts (+20) 5th
2015/16: 32pts (+17) 4th
2014/15: 30pts (0) 7th
2013/14: 31pts (-5) 8th
2012/13: 30pts (+5) 6th
2011/12: 39pts (+15) 3rd
2010/11: 30pts (+4) 5th
2009/10: 33pts (+18) 5th
2006/07: 28pts (0) 7th
2005/06: 34pts (+11) 4th

Great win after a tinkle poor first 20 mins of the game.

Thought Rose, Wanyama, Alli and Vertonghen all played really well. Although Vertonghen let himself down by picking up a silly booking at 4-1 and is now suspended. That's another reason right there why we can't/won't win the title, we lose our heads when there is absolutely no reason to and pick up silly suspensions.

Lloris had a bad game, gave the ball away in dangerous positions 3 times in a matter of moments. For someone whose distribution is so atrocious, you would think he would stick to the basics rather than trying to float a 20 yard hollywood pass to a marked player.

The goal difference looks very healthy again and we are slowly starting to catch up with the teams who have scored more than us.

Bit worried for the lineup on Saturday, could potentially be Tripper......Dier.......Wimmer........Rose

Don't forget his pointless raking of Rodriguez's face with his hand either. Rodriguez didn't overreact so no one saw it, but that may get retroactively reviewed.

Apparently Toby was out with a virus. So it's possible he could be fit for Watford. IIRC, we played 3 at the back against them away last season, with Trippier at right wing-back. Perhaps we'll see the same again.

The way it's gone recently I'm almost expecting him to be out, if he plays then it's a bonus. Think we all assumed he would start today.

Definitely expected him to start today -- but then again, I'm feeling rough as phuck myself and it is the time of year when people get viruses. Just a bit of bad luck, I don't think we need to worry too much.
