***Tottenham Hotspur vs. Swansea City OMT***

Good result. Good performance. Clean sheet. Biggest league win for Poch since he's been manager, yes?
In fact when was the last time we won 5-0: was that the home game vs Saudi Sportswashing Machine after Harry's got off his court case?

Onwads and upwards.
COYS

Ha, were you not the joker who a few days ago was likening our performances to those under the last days of AVB? Knee jerk much

Yep. It did have that feel to it and i was worried. In fact before the penalty i was worrying again..hopefully we have turned the corner after such a big win.
As i say, onwards and upwards

Before the pen you couldnt see us scoring despite being domnaint as usual

It's how we have been all season

We should sign him up; he'd be a good back up to Eriksen...:D

Ok, i'll get my coat...
Was Eriksen better today than he has been recently because:
1. We were playing a very poor Swansea team, who have leaked 9 goals in the last two games?
2. On the basis of today only is Eriksen now the second coming and Siggi a pub player?
3. Poch compared him with Siggi, as did we, which motivated him to buck up? If so, Exactly why we need someone like Siggi in our squad to put pressure on him.

Next when we play Manure, after CL, is Eriksen going to 'disappear', (including not duck out of challenges) or be consistent and be like today?

I hope he has turned his form, but that doth not make Siggi poor, Pele playing up front on his own in this Swansea team would struggle, even in his prime.

Swansea looked like a conference side, I feel bad for anyone who made the long trip from south wales to see that, they'll be in the championship next year without question, still we got a nice confidence boosting win, eriksen got on the scoresheet, no injuries and a boost to our goal difference. But don't bother to give ratings when the opposition is so cack.

Hopefully Poch rests the entire first 11 for the United game now.

No need for any of them to play against Moscow.

Lopez
Trippier
Dier
CCV
Wimmer
Winks
Sissoko
N'koudou
Onamah
Janssen

To fill the last place in that team either put Edwards in (think he's injured though) or put Walkes at left wing back and go 3-5-1-1

MOTD: Alli's going to struggle to get his next non-obvious penalty appeal acceded to on that basis.
I've noticed that Alli dives/play acts a lot, and am surprised it hasn't really been picked up on before. Might start to get scrutinised a bit more now....

I guarantee Poch won't rest a whole team, he's never done that. In fact the only manager I remember who cam close to doing that was Redknapp I think....

Well seeing as the players condition has clearly been a concern this season - to the extent that the colossus game in Monte Carlo resulted in several rested players - my view is that it's a necessity in what is after all a meaningless match now.

Well, I guess, it depends on whether we want to play in the Europa League.

I'd rather they were rested, but Poch has said we will be in Wembley for Europa League if we get there which to me suggests we are going to be taking the competitions seriously - for now at least. I think we will see a mixture of first and second string at best....

Not to mention there's pride to play for. Does anyone at the club,or even fans really want to be associated with coming bottom at group stage?! I think Poch will play a strong team....

i love it, it's something that's been missing, he has a genuine talent for it and we should make more use of it

refs might have a longer think* but if it looks like a penalty what choice do they have

*there is nothing in the laws of the game allowing referees to weight decisions with preconceived bias, they have to judge each incident in isolation

Teddy went through a phase like that, in the end we didn't get proper penalties because the officials couldn't see beyond him crying 'Wolf'

There might not be anything in the rules, but refs are human beings. Once a player gets a reputation referees give them less, it's been done time and time again.

Also, I'm not just talking about him 'winning' a foul/making the most of contact etc He has on a least a few occasions I've seen just flat out dived. He needs to be careful, he will get a reputation if he carries on....
