The Official Knee Jerk thread

Yes. For Barcelona... Barcelona! Anyway, he only scored 3 league goals in each of his last two seasons, so he didn't really contribute?

Or look at his stats for Spain, not contributing?

I'd be willing to bet that for the amount of shots that he has, Xavi is far more efficient. Modric rarely troubles a keeper when he shoots. Is criticism Modric not allowed or something? I'm not saying we should sell him and I know he's not in the side primarily to get goals, but it would be nice if he chipped in with a few more than he does and considering his ability, I don't think it's that much to ask for, or is it?

Modric? Weren't we talking about Huddlestone???

I wasn't saying that criticism isn't allowed. In my comment (about Huddlestone) I said that you can't focus just on goals and assists to value contribution to the team.

What gonad*s of course we gonna finish in the champions league spots. Honestly what is wrong with you lot, every time we dont win someone always has to have a go at redknapp the formation or 1 of our players. Do you think we gonna we win every game we play. Not in our life time i can assure you.

Ban me if we dont qualify for champions league next season.

If that's the case then what exactly does he do with his time in advance of matches? Little holidays to Monaco?

Every single member of this forum could have predicted Sunderland playing that way and many did.

That's not the first time this season that Harry's been caught out by a team doing exactly what they do every week. He needs to start doing his homework.

He hasn't time for that. He spends 6 hours a day commuting in and out to our training ground. And another 6 talking to journalists.

Plink, plink, plink.

Do you not know any different tunes? I'm kind of bored of this one.

Wtf does that mean? I'm just asking the mod to change the title to a more accurate one. Read my first post, thats exactly what this thread has always been about.

Don't Change a Winning Team

I'll admit I'm changing it slightly after the beginning of the season, seeing as now we have Gallas.

But what I don't get is why we don't just play the team we played that made the super Tottenham we knew in the first half of the season

Squad Rotation

Why Harry? WHY?!

We kept it so simple for the first half of the season. Rarely change the team, and do not change the formation regardless of opposition or home or away. Players in their natural position. The result? Consistency, great results and great football.

Then over the last months? One up top, then two up top, tailoring our formation to combat the opposition. Inverted wingers. Unbalanced team selections. Chopping and changing the side, especially up top and at the back. The result? All gone to brick.

I was absolutely stunned at today's team selection. Livermore starting? WTF? Especially in a 4-4-2 alongside Modric!!! We play two out and wingers AND get rid of any defensive presence in midfield? WTF?! Two out and out strikers up top? WTF?! A completely unbalanced shambles.

Congrats to Norwich, they deserved the three points. As for us? Well some of the players can hang their heads in shame but today the Manager didn't give them much of a chance. I just hope Parker and Sandro were injured, because if they were just rested today then what an absolutely shambolic decision not to play one of them.

Is this the official knee-jerk thread then?

Only, it's not a knee-jerk anymore, is it?

How can it be knee-jerk when we have fallen apart over a period?

Seriously, I've held back for a while, but all you positive people saying "but we're third and in the FA cup semi........" well, you just don't see it do you?
We have turned to brick, accept it.

Agree with most of this, but I believe they were indeed injured.

No excuse though.
