General Transfer Rumour Discussion Thread

I don't watch Championship football but £8m for someone with no top flight experience seems very excessive.

I've made (yet another) bet with a Manure fan re Lloris, and he has sent me this as evidence Lloris is leaving to go oop north: http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...make-contact-with-spurs-keeper-lloris-4083454

Atm, i'm laughing out loud...but..erm.....

Yeah, I've ignored tribal football ever since I saw some story years back that claimed Ramos was going to bring Thierry Henry to Spurs from Barcelona.

IIRC there was interest last season from a couple of EPL clubs for Mings but he decided to finish the season where he was.

Edit: On a seperate note, I read late last night that Levy only offered £10m for Ferreira-Carrasco, which is a bit of a tinkle take. The offer was batted away ofc as Monaco want closer to double that. Apparently Pellegrini is also sniffing around so we will likely miss out if true.

I'm normally quite supportive of Levy, but in this case he needs a kick up the arse (assuming it is true), which given his history and the low low offer he made for MS last summer I could believe.

If you read the same article as me, I think that that was a typo on the part of the "journalist". The article talked about Spurs being interested and then, from out of the blue, mentioned that Manuel Pellegrini had made a bid. I think the journo simply meant to write that Mauricio Pochettino had made a bid but he had a bit of a brain fart and typed Manuel Pellegrini instead (Latin name, initials MP...). The article referenced (and provided a link to) an article in the Metro as its source. I clicked the link to check and there was no mention of Pellegrini or Emirates Marketing Project in the original.

also Fabian Delph has a 10 mill release clause, Emirates Marketing Project want him

at that price id love us to have a try. We can offer first team football at least

Seems a bit low for someone who just signed a new contract. At that price he would be worth buying and flipping on in Chelsea'esque fashion if nothing else.

His wages would probably be bigger at City but he won't get many minutes on the pitch, as you say. He would be just there to make up the numbers I imagine. Would not be my first choice though.

I wouldn't be disappointed with Delph but I fancy a run at Cabaye if Schneiderlin is off the table which it sounds like.

Delph is nearly a good player IMO. In some ways he reminds of Rose. If his aggression and enthusiasm could be tempered and channelled in the right way then he could step up another level.

If Mitchell's black box/algorithms/analysis software is coming up with Moses it has bugs. At a guess he is probably just a fall-back if the first six preference players don't work out.

Has to be a joke, why would be after a player that struggled to get into the Stoke team, and hardly featured for Liverpool? if he wasnt good enough for them he isnt for us.
