No Saggy-face thread?!?

Could you find one of someone hurting their knee and impose his head on it?

My favourite vine is the one of Levy pushing the wheelbarrow and falling over in the stadium thread.

in fairness...

Tottenham have been a major disappointment since i left - major would be harsh, but it has been disappointing to see us fall away from where we were. which he played a big part in. (we should have been title challengers, but by the end of that season we were EL participants and have stayed in that position)

i had two top 4 finishes - should have finished higher - most definitely

striker/to the top - yep, a 30m pound striker (Tevez) would have likely papered over the cracks and kept us on course for a title challenge, what also would have kept us on course would have been you being more professional and not courting another job whilst being paid to manage THFC

this season, big disappointment - nope, 5th, closer points wise to 4th than the season prior, and a cup final in a managers first season is not a major disappointment in any way shape or form.

signings to a man have been a disaster - not this season, they've been solid if unspectacular, would have it at 50/50 myself since Redknapp departure.

120m wasted - opportunity missed no doubt.

my take on what he's said there

Tottenham have been a major disappointment since i left - yeah, we've dropped all the way down from just missing out on the CL to, just missing out on the CL

most definitely

striker/to the top - what billyiddo said

this season, big disappointment - what billyiddo said

signings to a man have been a disaster - not at all, the signing under MP have mostly been fine

120m wasted - we'll see, its not our MO to have instant hits, yep Soldado hasn't worked but Lamela, Chadli and Paulinho have all shown something this season and can't be written off, Eriksen has been a bargain really

Paulinho? He'd be first out the door if I was in charge.

Ol' Harry at it again, it's all gone down hill since he's left he says. I liked Harry when he was interested in managing us, but as soon as the England job was on offer he couldn't give a f***. We really have bucked the trend with Harry's old clubs, we've not been relegated and are not in financial problems, but he fails to mention that in his latest sound bite.

Do you think he's done managing now? or will he be secretly hoping for a crack at Bournemouth before he's done?

He will manage to flimflam his way into a job somewhere, despite his three ( should have been four) relegations and running some of his previous clubs into massive money problems.

He mentioned he wanted to be a DoF at West Ham with Rio as manager IIRC. Turns out DoFs are only bad when they're preventing him from signing the players he wants.

Tottenham have been a major disappointment since i left - Major is excessive, but we have gone backwards that's for sure. That's down to the players that have left too. No one can say for sure where we would be if he was still here now. The football would be better to watch, but we'd more than likely have the same number of points and be in the same position in the league.

i had two top 4 finishes - should have finished higher - Yep. Should have finished 3rd ahead of Arsenal. United and Emirates Marketing Project had better squads than us and United had Fergie so I never expected us to maintain a title challenge all the way to the end. 3rd should have been a given though.

striker/to the top - I don't think anyone can argue a striker was sorely needed. Plus Redknapp's full attention would have guaranteed 3rd place.

this season, big disappointment - No. Given the quality of the squad, 5th is a good achievement. We arguably have the 6th best squad, so 5th is actually above par.

signings to a man have been a disaster - The Signings made by AVB/Baldini in 2013/14 were a disaster bar Eriksen and Chadli. The other 5 have ranged from underwhelming to completely useless.

120m wasted - Bar about £18m, it has been wasted.

Its like when these idiots take on media jobs the first thing they have to do is slander the teams they were associated with, as if its the done thing.. Gerrard announced on BT sport, next day he is giving Pool jip for not disclosing why they sacked the two coaches. Its called selling your soul to the devil.

Agree with bill, but he was definitely right about Levy shirking at the last in January 2012. 3rd place team reinforces with the brilliant additions of Saha and Nelsen on a free on deadline day. Tons of people were calling that move a disaster the same damn day it happened.

I wanted more as well but realistically who was out there?

Seems to forget that he had VDV, King, Modric, Bale and a contract seeking Adebayor on his books. We all knew they went and done their own thing on the football pitch and that is exactly why he always spoke about the performance at the end of the games as "they".
