I like it though.

It's refreshing (much like I'll be doing to this page every 2mins for the rest of the day)

Aaron Lennon's proposed Deadline Day move from Tottenham to Hull is OFF.

The winger looked set to seal a switch to Humberside for the rest of the season, with a view to a permanent £7million deal in the summer, should the Tigers retain their Premier League status.

However, talks appear to have broken down between Lennon and the Premier League strugglers, and he will not be making the move before tonight's 11pm deadline.

The news could alert Everton, Swansea, Stoke and Sunderland, who have all shown interest in the player.

The Sun: QPR have promised Emmanuel Adebayor a permanent deal if he can keep them in the Premier League.

Daily Mirror: Stoke are plotting a deadline-day bid for Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Daily Mail: West Brom boss Tony Pulis is also keen on Swansea full-back Neil Taylor and is also trying to bring in Darren Fletcher, with Spurs' Etienne Capoue an alternative target.

The Daily Telegraph: Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will make a fresh inquiry about Southampton's Jay Rodriguez.

Spurs remain interested in Everton's Kevin Mirallas.

There is growing confidence at Spurs that they have won the race to sign Winston Reid from West Ham. Arsenal and Liverpool had also considered bids.

The Times: Spurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor is not keen on a move to QPR, Stoke City or West Brom.

Spurs defender Vlad Chiriches is expected to secure a loan move to Roma and he could be followed out of White Hart Lane by Etienne Capoue.

Tottenham are keen that Aaron Lennon moves on loan to Hull City. The club could offer Lennon as part of a deal for Kevin Mirallas, despite Everton insisting their player will not leave.

Roma short on Chiriches fee?

Roma and Tottenham are said to be €1.5m apart in their valuation of defender Vlad Chiriches.

The centre-back has been linked with a loan move to the Giallorossi, having made just five starts for Spurs in the Premier League this season.

Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports that Roma are in negotiations to bring the 25-year-old on loan, but their offer is €1.5m below the English side’s asking price.

The alternative to the Romanian international would be to bring back Rafael Toloi from Sao Paulo, but it’s believed the Brazilian side are not keen to let him go.

Aaron Lennon and Younes Kaboul appear to be on the verge of leaving Spurs on transfer deadline day, but striker Emmanuel Adebayor could remain at the club after snubbing an offer to leave.

Italian giants Roma are considering a move for out of favour centre-back and club captain Kaboul, while Leicester City are exploring the possibility of signing former England winger Lennon on loan for the remainder of the season.
Kaboul was made club captain at the beginning of the season by boss Mauricio Pochettino, but injury and a couple of shaky displays have seen him drop out of the first team reckoning in recent months.

Lennon has faded from the first team picture in recent weeks after seeming to force himself back into the squad, with a couple of decent performances. However, Pochettino prefers using the likes of Nacer Chadli, Erik Lamela and Andros Townsend ahead of him on the flanks and Lennon has not even been making the bench.

Meanwhile, Adebayor has reportedly rejected the chance to join former manager Harry Redknapp at QPR. Spurs are still hopeful of moving him on before the deadline shuts at 11pm, with Stoke interested, but the player may decided to stay put.

MK Dons midfielder Dele Alli is reportedly undergoing a medical at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a switch from the League One side.

Sky Sports' Pete O'Rourke says the 18-year-old is currently undergoing a medical with Spurs ahead of a potential move.

It is understood Alli would return to MK Dons on loan for the rest of the season should a deal go ahead.

Alli has scored 12 times in 32 outings for the League One side this season, attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool, Aston Villa and Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

Alli has long been linked away from Stadium:MK and Spurs, who have a history of developing young British talent in recent years, are understood to have made late offer.

The Milton Keynes born midfielder has made 76 appearances for the Dons after making his debut in 2012, scoring 20 goals.

I only watch it twice a year on deadline windows but today SSN is even more dreadful than usual, they really have nothing to talk about other than tweets the public are sending in.

I'm sure someone on their staff will "understand" that something may or may not be happening soon.

SSN might be bad but the BBC website live feed has someone who plays FM commenting on transfer speculation today.

Spurs officials are in Germany to finalise a deal for FC Koln defender Kevin Wimmer, according to reliable Germany daily Sport Bild.

The fee is reported to be in double digits, so at least €10m (£7.5m), for the Austria U21 international, which is perhaps a little high but unsurprising given Wimmer has a contract at Koln until 2019.

Roma are just trying to buy everyone who's a bargain aren't they? What happened to them.. they were half-decent a while back now they are scraping around for anyone half decent (and Kaboul)

fighting for the league over there - second best team in the league----- problem is its a tinkle poor league whos fans are only "beaten" by their police
