***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Swansea City OMT ***

Bony has netted 20 goals this calendar year. That's more than any other player in PL! How is that not clinical?

It's a decent return I'll admit, and he is without doubt a decent striker, but fot me clinical is Aguero or Costa, this season Charlie Austin has outscored Bony, while Auguero is streets ahead of him

So fu*cking what! If you don't try, you'll never score. Doesn't really matter if you try 1 or 10 times! If you score every other game, that's impressive!

Are you aware Bony has scored more goals in this calendar year than any other premiership player? If he is "hardly clinical" I shudder to think how you would describe Soldado?

Why is it always one against another? Saying that Bony is not clinical does not meant that someone is saying that Soldado is the best striker in the league or even that he is better than Bony.

What a load of fu*cking shait a*shole supporters we have on this forum! We've just won away at Swansea, who before this game was the 2nd best home team in the league, and had only conceded 5 goals! And still all there is here is complaining and abuse of the players and team! We weren't outstanding, but we held out when under pressure, and players stood up, showed character and got the winner in the end! Thought Walker was very good considering he got an early yellow. Bentaleb kept cool and did the right things at the right time. Lloris didn't have to make many saves. VERY GOOD WIN! COYS!

Well said ................Geesus , this forum is full of Trolls!

Yes? And your point being? I was only commenting on those who didn't think Bony is a goalscorer.

My point being that he is not a clinical striker, he's a decent striker who this season has scored 8 goals , two more than Chadli or Eriksen who are midfielders and 6 less than Aguero who I would consider clinical , I hope that this clarifies my point and makes it easy to understand, I don't recall anyone claimiing he wasn't a goal scorer

P

Commentator said that Routledge played 5 games for us in 2.5 years how useless was he????

I want to agree with you and as others have pointed out we need to write off last season. However, basing him on this season, rabona aside, he has offered very little. Today he was woeful. Let's see where we are in May I say.

he got injured, then Lennon got really good, then he got injured again

Where are Chelsea and ****ty in the table compared to Swansea? So you think Bony has the same service as Aguero and Costa? Oh my.....

Are you seriousley trying to tell us that Bony is in the same class as those two, Aguero or Costa would have been on a hat trick today if they had been presented with the chances Bony had

Edited to add 'Oh my'

Here's my order of where Poch went wrong

- We needed a sub at HT (see my HT post), it was clear if we didn't change something we were highly likely to concede.
- Lamela was giving away the ball, causing fouls, could have been sent off twice, so he had to come off (Poch made a huge unnecessary gamble that would have backfired if the ref made a different choice)

- Chadli/Dembele for Lamela would have been obvious
- Stambouli in for one of Mason/Bentaleb would have been the second obvious play (see if we got hold of midfield and give our front two more service)
- Soldado off would have been my last play,

All subs should have been done by 70-75 minutes.

My opinion remains Poch missed his opportunity to proactively affect the game, when we fell behind he made no attempt to win it, just trying to hold on for a draw and individual endeavor from Kane/Eriksen won the game.

Outside of a reasonable first 11 selection, I say no progress in style/system/managerial impact

If Danny Rose has been doing it people would be rubbing their hands together thinking hes the type of player we need.
Lamela didnt even get booked!

Lamela was disposed 4 times and made 8 unsuccessful passes. That 12 times he lost the ball in 82 minutes.
Chadli lost it 3 times in 8 minutes ffs. Dembele 8 times in 35 minutes.

But of course who are right. Leave a knackered Soldado on after his third start in 8 days too.

I am surprised that anyone is surprised by Swansea being good today. We had passages of play where we were on top, they had passages where they were on top. They came out very strong early in the second half and we lost our shape and belief as a result but I was very impressed with our resolve. There was a period in the second half where both teams lost shape and it was like two drunks slugging it out in a pub car park but we recovered from this better than them. We talk a lot about teams character and we had that today.

People were losing their **** during the game because of how they perceive Swansea.

This is horrible to watch. we are pinned back like the types of Burnley are against small teams like Swansea.

Can't tell if that Rose part is serious or not. The guy who has to play like a cross between Paolo Maldini and Roberto Carlos before people begrudgingly give him the slightest bit of credit.

It doesn't surprise me. Half of this board seems to throw their toys out of the pram if we don't steamroller everyone outside the top four.

My point is the credit Rose gets ("About time we had a nasty tackler") and Lennon gets ("hard working") cant be applied to Lamela by those same people because he cost £30m (even though it was £26m).
The same way Bale got tons of abuse for not being in games much (until he put in the top corner in the same game) for playing on the right hand side of the pitch("****ing ego" "up himself prick" "he plays on the left").
Its all because they expect more.

We end up making heroes of the likes of Lennon and Rose.

Eriksen was getting abuse around a month ago.
Wait until Kane gets too tired to score nearly every game. All the talk will be of him being **** and "found out".
