New mobile

I was thinking of jumping ship from iPhone to one of the Android bunch. My calender, contacts, notes, etc, all sync with Outlook. If I make the move how easy is that **** to sort out again? I assume there is something comparable on Android.

The other app which I use a lot is the maps app. I use it as a sat nav. Something like that on Android too?

Outlook and Office 365 are available for Android. The Google office tools are all pretty good now too. Google Maps does Sat Nav.

Anyone got any views on the galaxy note 4 ? Had an iphone..still got and ipad mini. Just been using samsung Win to try out android and samsung with a cheaper phone... bow decided to stick with samsung and get a bigger screen as use my phone for actual phone calls less than 1% of its usage. ..

So.. anyone had the note 3 ??? Or any time thoughts on the note 4 ?

I'm always impressed by google maps when using it as a satnav. It's really good at avoiding bad traffic/accidents and suggesting quicker routes.

Disclaimer: I don't know if apple has similar or not.

The iPhone 6 and 6 plus are amazing. The 6 plus is huge, but I'm tempted to get it. And yeah, Samsung had a big screen a while ago. Good stuff. It still will never run iOS.

I'm on 02 business, tariff is about
£25 per month per person and you get a handset allowance over the 2 years which has always covered the new iphone (not largest capacity) for me

Absolutely ridiculous.
I got a Nexus 5 last November when it came out for £330 or something similar. I have no contract. Here in Ireland if I top with 20 euro a month with Three mobile I get unlimited 4G data, free texts, free off peak calls on the same network. That's £700ish over 2 years.

And what's with the iphone6 screens. They seem to be way behind on technical specs now.
Nexus 5 screen :4.95 in (126 mm) Full HD 1920×1080 px (445 ppi)
iPhone 6: 4.7 in (120 mm) 1334 x 750 pixel resolution, 326 ppi
iPhone 6 Plus: 5.5 in (140 mm) 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, 401 ppi

Looking at getting the xperia z1 compact.

Anyone had experience of one of these?

Wish there was a smaller phone available but not a grandad mobile... :(

iPhone is certainly not that expensive in Australia. Sounds like UK carriers are taking the ****.

I use the Xperia tablet and it's very good. If I didn't have an HTC I'd probably have something from the Xperia range.

Virgin mobile ( uses EE and Orange) is £18pcm for unlimited data, texts , calls.
No contract.

I brought a nexus 5 in the US (only downside is no 4g as the US version is o n diff frequency).
But far better value than some of those contracts above, really is a mugs game buying a new iPhone
