Yeah I can see that but I also saw Dembele and Sandro boss games in a manner akin to Viera/Petit. Problem is neither have been fit enough since
More than happy to get schneiderlain in to challenge and replace one of them though if it means we have a centre midfield pair passing the ball forwards
I know I'm going off thread here but Dembele has all the talent IMO to be the best midfielder in the league but lacks the awareness needed.... He Could be a hell of a player

Agree about Dembele, superb player extremely strong on the ball and still pretty young I believe. Hopefully can push on under Poch! His hip issues are a worry at his age though.

Awareness, creativity, vision, judgement, assertiveness, two hips….
I think his defensive work is very good and he can hold off players. But constantly dribbling down dead end does no one any good. If he was 21 I'd have hope for him. But at 27 it's a bit of a lost cause.

You keep in about the hip thing and I have no doubt his injuries are having an effect... But the key is his lack of awareness of when to pass and what to pass. He actually slows is down to much
I've seen him boss games for us and I can see that their is a real player in there but I just don't see it happening now unfortunately

Worth remembering that Lovren and his agent were both told by Saints they could not get their move away, hence why he said he was willing to go on strike to get his move. Fact is as soon as an acceptable bid came in he was off. It will be the same with MS.

I would actually pass on Schneiderlin (though I really want him), if it meant having to sacrifice Sandro. I'd let any of Dembele, Paulinho or Capoue go first.

But from our pov, there have been no signs at all that we are looking at any CFs this year, so I'd be very confident we'll go with Ade-Soldado-Kane for the coming season.

I think sadly that poch does not rate him which is unfortunate as I still rate him despite him being poor last season. However, I think schneiderlin is more the player to suit our system so we cannot afford to pass on him. Agree about letting the others go though.
It's the internet, we knows everything. Even if we mostly contradict common sense and each other.
