That's a very good signing for AVB, a lot of PL clubs would have needed him, and at that price it's unbelivable that United, us and Liverpool tried to sign him. (Maybe we did, and wages killed us?)

Could be... I'm left surprised by this, perhaps I overrate him a bit...

Even if it's a wage issue, would Zenit really only be willing to pay that now and not in 2-3 weeks? Why not wait until after the World Cup where he's very likely going to get much more exposure.

Agreed! Think he has tons of potential, although he might need a season to settle as he still looks a bit raw I think he will be a very good signing for them.

Seems like the kind of player Rodgers is good at getting the best out of too...

They're good for a club like us they're average for a club like United they need to be signing Fabregas or Ikermerendi not Herrera if they're going to really compete at the top - he's a good player but he's never been capped at the age of what 23? But Mikel Arteta
 
Today they're rumoured to be bidding £30 million for Vidal. Is that the only number they can think of?
