The 2013/14 Playoffs Thread

How was that undeserved. Oh I see - they did not control possession. Derby barely created much and as far as im concerned QPR deserved it... defended resolutely and were clinical when needed

Don't know about possession, but Derby dominated that game. QPR had one shot on target.

Well done QPR, backs to the wall defending, get one clean chance from a tackle and a mistake, then BAM - with only barely a minute of time left. Arry gets relegated, but then he brings them up again. His story just keeps going on, and on, and on ...

Heartbreaking for Derby, commiserations, McLaren will have to back to the drawing board.

Who cares? A lot of Spurs fans just don't want any Redknapp team to win, and yet some of the same people will passionately root for Bale and Modric later on even tho they went on strike for Spurs. They didn't deserve to win but I'm happy as my Mum was born in Shepherd's Bush.

Seeing how much you love Redknapp, why all the hate for Bale and Modric? The former one treated the club worse.

Who would you be referring to?

Hahaha how did he treat us worse? He took his eye of the ball and we finished 4th, boo ****ing hoo, only an unbelievably slice of bad luck cost us CL football that season. At least he showed up for work every day, he didn't try make up some story about a buttock injury or claim his head wasn't right and refuse to play.

QPR promoted to the Premier League with Granero, Remy, Park, Taarabt, Mbia, Diakite and Julio Cesar all to come back into the team.

Didnt help them much the first time round when they had them in the team.. I can only see them going straight back down.

Bit different this time round. Redknapp never had them from the start. When he went in as manager, he went with a safer option to try and keep them up instead of relying on players with no Prem experience.

Come on fella, let it go…QPR were supremely lucky today, I'm happy for them, got friends who are Super Hoops so they're buzzing, but why oh why is it sacrilege to state the facts here and say QPR were lucky? Its not always about Redknapp. As for Modric and Bale, that's your grudge to carry to the grave but there are a few inaccuracies in what you've said. Modric did not flat-out refuse, indeed, it was Harry who felt his 'head wasn't right' and wouldn't play him. Bale was told to stay away from pre-season as it was going on due to worries about what his presence might do to the training camp. I was devastated at the tactics both men's agents played in their departures, but there are two players who gave everything for us when they played.

I'm not denying they were lucky cos they absolutely were. But it's blatantly obvious that a lot of Spurs fans just are gutted that a Redknapp team won a big game and in such a jammy way.

We can debate agents all day but I seem to recall Modric also publicly stating he wanted to play for Chelsea, a team many Spurs fans consider our most hated rival, no agents involved in that one. As for them trying in every game, that's open to interpretation. I don't begrudge players wanting to leave any club but I reserve my support for players that leave in a dignified manner like Van Der Vaart, Ginola etc.

Great that WHL next year will have the chance to thank Harry, Bond and Jordan (and Clive Allen) for the 4 years. And perhaps to make a point to Levy too. I know they got a good reception at QPR last year but they haven't been back to WHL since. Even if you hate Harry, it was a brilliant few years with some wonderful memories. I think if they'd lost today they were all getting sacked and Harry would probably retire. Either way, I think this'll be his last shot at the top flight.

Exactly. Derby had all those corners, all that possession but it counts for nought if you can't finish in the manner that Zamora did. Sensational finish under pressure and when he wasn't expecting it to come to him.... and the small matter of it being worth about £50 million! :)

More like £80,000,000 mate.
