FA Cup semifinal draw on Sunday

Would have preferred us to get Everton or Sunderland in the semi. But I guess, if you want to win any Cup, you have to do it the proper way, not rely entirely on the luck of the draw. After meeting Altrincham, Stevenage and Bolton, It would have been pretty embarassing if we had avoided any strong teams right until the Final. Winning the 2008 CC is really sweet because of the fact we beat ManCity, Arsenal and Chelsea along the way. So, if we want to win the FA Cup, we have to be prepared to beat Chelsea in the semi.

Cheltenham mate.

The danger is that we beat Bolton, Chelsea and then feel like we've already won the cup. always the danger with Spurs.

I fudging hate Wembley

Absolute brick house with crap views and a poor atmosphere

Filled with thousands of people that watch around 1 live game every 2 seasons

Care to expand on that?

As opposed to most of your posts which are along the lines of "I fudging hate Liverscum, fudging scum ****s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" :ross:

Hey man - I say whats on my mind. I do truly hate Livers****s - bunch of ****s.

Ok well basically we should fight. I think its been coming and this is the last straw

Yeah, I mean Cheltenham. Agreed with the sentiment about Spurs. But frankly, I am more worried about Redknapp's approach to Cup matches than the team's mentality. I am still not impressed with any Cup matches since Redknapp took over. But his current Spurs side tend to play well against strong teams. So, let's hope they will turn up against Chelsea and most probably Liverpool in the final. We need to overcome Bolton in the quarter final first ofcourse !

How much were tickets for the semi against Pompey a few years back? I didn't go. I think it was different prices for the upper and lower tiers...

I was allocated one of the cheapest tickets in the upper tier and I think it was something like ?ú38. Plus massive booking fees probably. Can't remember for sure but that figure sounds about right.

Think I remember the lower tier being more expensive - maybe its something like a ?ú40/?ú50 split? Were people standing in the upper tier or sitting down?

Sitting in my section :( I found this on the os:

Prices: ?ú60 (?ú50 Concession), ?ú50 (?ú40), ?ú40 (?ú30), ?ú30 (?ú20) - our usual concession parameters will apply (U16 and Over 65).

I think I must have had one of the middle range of tickets. Must have been the Carling Cup final where I had the cheapest ticket as I was almost in the back row behind the goal for that.

Okay looking at around 50 quid for me as a member then, willing to turf that out if we're playing Chelsea. Hopefully people try to stand up and create an atmosphere.

We was in block 110, rows 20 odd all 3 times there in recent history and everybody stood up all game, it was pretty good
