Tim Sherwood…gone \o/

Sherwood is strange, I don't think he is actually THAT bad from a footballing perspective. He certainly isn't as good as he thinks he is but I don't think he's that bad. His idea that we should trust our youth more to help us compete is a good one and actually make sense.

But from a personal level I just do not like him, and I don't think he can remain. He is a complete self preservationist and doesn't care about the club. I don't think he can set up a team to win the bigger games. But the biggest thing is that I think he's divided the players. Redknapp used to do it but being a 30 year veteran he's got a stronger power base to start from where he can use his 'some of these I can count on' type of comments.

Sherwood doesn't start from that power base, so when he shoots his mouth off I think some of the players wonder who the hell he thinks he is. I think that interview with Kane and Eriksen was pretty telling. Kane appreciates Sherwood because he's got some league starts out of him but Eriksen didn't want to give a serious answer to a question on Sherwood at all. He's probably stunned that this guy is his manager, considering the type of coaches he will have grown up with. I think he's divided the players and there's no need for it. There's no reason why you can't have a faith in the youth of the club without alienating some of the top young European talent that we've signed.

That said, out of Sherwood or Moyes, I choose Sherwood. I like Moyes but I think he's a bit of a ditherer. I think he would have ultimately succeeded in Man United if given time but I think he definitely needs that time. I think a club like Saudi Sportswashing Machine would be good for him.

I wouldn't have been against it say 4-6 weeks ago but since then he's said some things I really don't like/agree with and his team selection has been bemusing at best. Plus I get the feeling he'd quite happily ship out all of our summer signings(bar Eriksen) without giving them a proper chance. Oh yeah and his insane love in for Aaron Lennon who provides next to nothing these days.

He has made a lot of mistakes, and he WILL continue making them. We cannot give him time to learn.

There are other managers out there apart from LVG. We can get one.

The way Dim Tim has behaved as an interim manager is a shame. Can you imagine what he will do as a permanent manger. I will quit Spurs.

Did you see his interview on Sky about Charlie Adams. He says it was OK for him to place an " accidental " tackle.

Get this c**t out NOW. He will destroy our team before the season ends.

Good post. As for choosing between Dim Tim & Moyes is concerned, I don't want that to be an option. We can get better.

I don't think anyone has said that Sherwood is the best Spurs manager ever.

But he does have the best Premier League record.

There's a difference between the two.

I honestly can't get my head around his approach. Does he not want another job as manager with any club? It's one thing to be brutally honest but who does he actually think he is impressing with this approach? I've said it before he thinks it's the Sherwood Show and loves the media attention. Not what we need and I'd venture not what most chairman would be looking for.

If Moyes is the only alternative then most certainly YES. If we can get Van Gaal, then no.

Tim has drawbacks like any manager but at least he gets us attacking. He's managed to get the best out of Abebayor and successfully blooded a couple of youngsters. And although he's been ****e in cup competitions he's got a decent win record in the PL. On top of that he knows what Tottenham is about and as a manager is learning fast on the job.

Too many on here are put off by his public persona but for me it's all about how the team plays.

So everyone bitching about not giving our previous manager a chance has changed their tune and don't want to give our present manager a chance... Despite the fact his results and performances have been better? I dont like some of what he says and does but unless we are to get a lvg Rafa CA or klopp then I'm happy to see where we can go with Sherwood..... Some people should remember the amount of stick Rodgers was receiving last year and I hope levy is one that does remember.

His saying he is the best premiership manger is like the rating system in the daily mail saying Justin puncheon is the 2nd best player in the EPL over the last 6 games!

Sherwood is a glorified caretaker/interim
ATM and many people think he shouldnt have even been given that role in the first place - your post is totally misses that.

Except he was given an 18 month contract so not so much an interim in this Tim.... Listen I don't love the dude, but the vitriol he receives is way over the top and unjustified.... And before we go for another change from someone with good results and exciting performances (if not overly solid, but that may come) I want to be sure the risk rewards are worth it...
