****OMT*****Tottenham Hotspur vs. Chelsea, Saturday 8th March 5:30pm

This all reminds me of when 'Arry was going for the England job and confused himself with a "thinking manager."

Rather than just do what he was good at (motivate the team and send them out there) he started all kinds of nonsense that was out of his league.

I'm going to be positive and say fair play to him. We've got a clutch of our better players missing and were going to get a hiding anyway, so why not be bold and have a crack at something different?

I like your positivity. However, the selection is anything but bold -- it is clearly Sherwoods version of the Parked Bus.

Haha, I'm past angry and just laughing at this pitiful man lucked out and ended up managing one of the biggest clubs in the worlds. It's like the plot of a really **** hollywood film, "Everyone thought he was a gimp, and then he was giving the job of a life time!!!" Except this will have the ending of a french art house film...

Its better to have a crack at properly parking the bus and having the pace of Walker, Lennon up the field, along with Sigg who is dangerous from long range and a target man in Ade.

I've heard of worse 'park the bus' line ups. Maybe. Sort of 8-[

Fuuck it i don't know  but at least its better to try something than just turning up and getting rolled over in a tepid two or three nil defeat. Isn't it?

What's he supposed to do today? Which ever way we set up with whats available to us we're second best by a considerable difference...

He said in the pre-match press conference that we'd "park the bus but leave the doors open"

Want to see some pictures of my cat? I think it is a little early to rule out the possibility of getting rolled over in a 2-3-4-5-nil defeat, though!

So i'm the only one that likes this team?

Anyone remember how Lennon terrorised Chelski at the Bridge playing off Berba in the 2007 fa cup game?

Sherwood obviously thinks pace is key today and we can get at them.

I would love to hear your excuses if Spurs, by some miracle, do manage to win today!

I reckon it's a 5-4-1 myself. Walker on the right, Naughton on the left. Kaboul, Dawson and Vertonghen at center back.

But we will soon find out.

Ive had a think about it and just heard Jose talk about how he doesnt know how we will play. Which is a bonus, element of surprise maybe thats what TS is going for along with some defensively minded players like Lennon and Walker. Id have dropped Sig and played Ade instead and put Soldado up top thats about it.

Like I have always said, its not really about personnel, although it contributes, its about how we are set out to play.

I dont think there's anything park the bus about this really. He'd be playing 3 in central midfield instead of two for a start.
I'm worried about Dawson and Kaboul together, Naughton being Naughton and Vertonghen grudgingly playing left back.

strangest 11 i think Sherwood could've picked.

if it all goes wrong it's on him, but if it comes off, he'll be looked at as a genius. takes some serious nuts to pick that team.

my guess is 5-4-1. should at least make it difficult on Hazard.

I think Sandro and bentaleb will be a good combination.
The big question mark is Lennon's role seeing as Walker is definitely playing out the right.[/QUOTE]

Thinking again, I didnt think he was that bad when he filled in there at Swansea earlier in the year. This sh#t might just work
