The Other Clubs Transfer Thread

Costa? He's a nut. Would love to see him in the premiership for the entertainment value if nothing else.

Agreed.

Over performing this year, so very welcome to Chelsea. In fact it'd help their rivals as theyd be getting rid of one of the best goalkeepers in the world to get a player who's played well for one season.

I kinda like him but you are right. It's hard to tell if he's just having one of those seasons or he really is top bracket.

He has power and can finish like a professional striker playing for a top club in La Liga should be able to do. I think those ingredients alone can make him look solid and have a good year in the Premier League, a league famous for it's pace and power.

Cabaye looks likely to be off. Saudi Sportswashing Machine will be lost without him, still doesn't do us any harm.

Rodgers talking today about wanting a 'BIG' signing... and that something might happen soon.

Wenger also hinting they might do something as they have a few injuries.

Only 2 days left, lets hope neither strengthens too much!

Some rumours around that they have put in a bid for Yevhen Konoplyanka from our EL-opponent Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk

Would make sense after they missed out on Salah - surely it must be a winger they are hoping to sign

Konoplyanka has been very good those couple of times, I have seen him play

Press Association Sport understand that Saudi Sportswashing Machine have made an undisclosed, but substantial bid for Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier,

Seems like everyone is active, except Spurs

Now rumours that Emirates Marketing Project have put in a £38m bid for Mangala from FC Porto

one of may fave goals from last year....Grenier

Graham Carr knows the French market.

He was Pleat's protégé wasn't he. Why did we ever let him go?

very few of Carrs signings were unknowns......Cabaye was always rated, Sissoko burst onto the seen, was valued in the 15-20 mill mark and then suffered a dip in form whilst his contract ran down and Saudi Sportswashing Machine picked him up cheaply. Everyone knew about Remy, we have been linked to most of the players that Saudi Sportswashing Machine have signed. Ultimately it comes down to a final decision and who makes those decisions

I agree, they have done well out of taking a punt on players that bigger clubs thought were too much of a risk.

Fulham agree terms with Konstantinos Mitroglou: 15m euros (£12.4m) to Olympiakos, 10m euros in wages over 4yrs, medical 2moro

Frees up Berbatov exit i guess.

crazy from Mitroglou, he could do better than Fulham

I wouldn't have minded him at Spurs based on his form so far this season. Hopefully the scouts know something we don't, because on the face of it he seems the perfect addition for us: strong, good in the air, pacy, clinical. Not the best dribbler or passer, but it isn't like we're blessed with options at this point. Do not want Berbatov, though. **** no.

Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have agreed a sensational swap deal that could see Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge next season, according to reports in the Spanish media.

Blues keeper Thibaut Courtois, on loan at Atletico, has been hailed by many as the best young custodian in Europe thanks to his performances in the Spanish capital in the past three seasons.

But the 21-year-old would like to stay in Madrid, with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wanting star striker Costa in return. David Moyes had hoped to line up the forward for a move to Old Trafford.

Costa has netted 19 goals in La Liga this season, second only to cross-city rival Cristiano Ronaldo at Real.

Mourinho's top priority in the summer is to sign a striker, with the Portuguese ruling out making a move for a frontman in January.

Chelsea wanted keeper Courtois to sign a new deal despite having never played for the Stamford Bridge side, but the Belgian has said he would prefer to be playing for a club permanently.

Courtois has previously said he will only return to Chelsea to be No 1 keeper ahead of Petr Cech.

'It is not up to me to say I am going to be No 1,' Courtois said. 'But neither do I want to go to a team and not play. I want to play, if not at Chelsea, then at another team.

'I know that Atletico want to make an effort to sign me, but it depends on Chelsea, on what they want and how much they are going to ask,' Courtois said.

'First my agent is going to talk with Chelsea to see when I can speak with someone there, and from there we can take another step.

'Now Atleti are waiting until Chelsea says something. Maybe by the end of March, more or less.'

With Cech still performing for Chelsea, a swap deal would be very attractive for the London side due to the FFP regulations.

On loan for 3 years?

They're an incubator, not a football club.
