The Other Clubs Transfer Thread

Is there all to play for? We're not going to finish in the top 4 and are out of all the cup competitions.

He'll be moving to a team with a chance of winning the Champions League and most importantly to a lot of us, not to another English club.

I doubt Man Utd feel that way and they're only a point above you.

I like Cabaye. We should prepare a bit for when PSG buy a new toy and no longer have a need for Cabaye. Perhaps in the summer or next January...

Shame for you guys Greg, very enjoyable player to watch. Hope for your sake you have a good replacement lined up as you've struggled without him when he's been missing from what I've seen.

Not really, the player wants out.

Bollox to that. Promise him his move in the Summer or whatever. While you are still in with a shout this move is stupid. It does not serve Saudi Sportswashing Machine and they hold his contract.

Club have confirmed no players will be sold in this transfer window. I'll believe that when I see it.

Rumours all over the papers according to 5 Live that Man U have bid £40m for Mata.

Man U deny it.

and Gary Neville saying why spend 37m on Mata when he's not really a ''Man Utd player'' and doesn't know where they would play him.

Now even if that were true, I'm sure Mata could fit in there starting 11 quite easily

Surprised to hear him say that. If they can fit Kagawa in then surely Mata is not too dissimilar.

Wow - I think Mata would be one of the first names on the team sheet each week..... He could play starting on the left side of a 4-4-2 but with a free role with Rooney and Van Persie as the two forwards, he could play in the number 10 role behind Rooney or Van Persie or anywhere across the attacking midfield roles in a 4-2-3-1 formation.... Imagine Man Utd with Van Persie up top and Mata, Rooney and any of Januzaj/Nani/Young/Valencia/Kagawa in behind him with Carrick and Jones providing the defensive shield behind them?

Is it a good sign that we aren't doing anything at the moment? I think it could be, definately shows the players that we have faith in them

So what do we think of the possible transfer of Mata to United then? Does it mean Rooney is off, or is Moyes just continueing Fergies habit of ignoring central midfield?

Told Cabaye has no intention of leaving this window, in the best form of his career and happy and doesn't want to be unsettled by moving now to try and ensure he is in top form for the World Cup.

If CFC wouldnt sell him to us in the summer why would they sell him to Man Utd, ok this season is gone but he could be a major player for them going forward

As long as clubs are allowed to stockpile players, I can see no reason why Chelski would sell any of their world class reserve players to a rival club. More likely he'll be loaned out to Southampton or Saudi Sportswashing Machine to make life harder for Chelski's top four rivals.
