Anyone had anything interesting happen during yours?

Colleague/mate of mine in his 50's got smashed on a beer wine combo at the clients do and booked a hotel two streets away from the venue. He left early and refused to get a cab. Anways we left 45 minutes after to then pass him on the side of the street looking like a turtle on its back trying to pick himself up only about 50 yards away from the hotel :lol: was in stiches.
 
I have a work one this wed just a casual ****tail evening.

Last week, a masked ball by the company that took us over - didnt go to that - why the **** would I wanna cover my beautiful handsome face haha

I have one on friday night with the new company I had just accepted a job offer from, they invited me as they wanted me to meet the team etc - im going in all gunds blazing.
 
Had ours last week, I got stitched up so was the only one to turn up in black tie. I had to leave at half ten to escort my mate back to Waterloo and put him on the right train home as he'd managed to get completely hammered in 2 1/2 hours, what a lightweight.

Congrats on the new job mate, what happened with the whole Japan thing?

I will always be a fan of yours and think your a good poster so i wish you luck in your new role. I started a micro brewery this year and it has been a disaster:( sure that will give some on here a good laugh. The thing is actually costing me money.

Not done any xmas parties and i usually do a big one at the house because to be honest i am a miserable ****s these days and i feel myself living/playing up to that image so Christmas can go f.uck itself.

I start a new job in January, but did I get an invite to their Xmas party? Did I ****, not that I'm bitter or anything.

So you work for BDO? Or did rather.

I got completely ruined at ours, maxed out 7/8 ****tails in the first hour then faded into memory loss.

Well it was the previous company before Baker Tilly took us over (im sure you can figure who it was haha) - I work two mins from BDO. Moving into industry and commerce - massive communications company. So looking forward to it.

Chich - decided not to take it simply whilst it would have been an awesome experience, it would have meant giving up a good life here and who knows what may happen. This job is potentially great though and willbe spending half my time in Colorado which would be awesome.

Ooh, tell me more about this, I've been playing with the idea of a micro brewery myself.

Anyway, at work we had this a couple of weeks ago, nothing special really happened, stuffed my face with free food and alcohol which was good. Some guy tried to hang himself in the shower and then jump out the window, it may be the reason for the guards running around the hotel at 3 AM and telling us to 'shut down the party' - my reply was that the party had just started but they didn't like that very much. In stead we went to the gas station across the road to buy burgers.
 
I couldn't get ruined this year; exam today. What a ****ty Christmas party, then again less embarrassing than last year's. So maybe it was just as well!
 
Didn't bother with mine, the company I work for is so tight despite having the do in a ****tail bar, we were apparently only allowed 2 free helpings of bottled beer or glasses of wine. And as i work in IT its 90% dudes aswell haha

Ah good luck with that, i think i am just feeling so bored and feed up with everything maybe i will become the walking cliché and have a mid life crisis. I envy anyone going off and doing something different. Really want to make a move full time to another country and just doing something different. Just fancy being someone else for a few years not sure if i am making sense.

Think it is why i get so annoyed with how the country is being run.

Been a bit of a **** up and im man enough to admit that most of it has been my fault.
 
My colleague (now my wife) walked up to me and said "see me outside in 10 minutes"

That was in 1998 so it has worked out alright, 15 years on.

NB. She came staggering back in 3 minutes later and said "where the hell were you?"

Chich, you should forget the beer and set up a stall in the market selling (1) pork, stuffing, apple rolls for less than the £5 ripoff merchants with the full roasted pig... just do it with joints and (2) beef and onion gravy in a yorkshire pudding
 
Just started a new job back in London, the Christmas do was a fairly posh affair in the office, with outside caterers and table service etc. Started at 2pm, I was off my face at 6.30pm. Put my coat and bag on, told my colleagues I'd had a lovely evening and they refused to let me leave.

We left to go to a local pub at about 8pm, the bouncer wouldn't let me in so I tried to reason with him. I forgot I wasn't in NZ anymore, where you can negotiate with the bouncer and if they still don't want to let you in, chat a bit about the rugby, give each other a hug and be on your merry way. So I tactfully touched the bouncer on the arm as I was explaining I just needed to pop my head in and explain to my colleagues I wasn't allowed in. He went absolutely mental. Which of course made me do it even more. I can't really remember the resolve of that.

I kind of remember falling over on my way to Old Street Station, falling asleep in on the train, ending up in Golders Green, falling over again, getting a taxi home and falling in a bush. I arrived at Old Street Station at around 8.30pm and landed on my front door about four hours later. Not a controversial story, but considering I'd been in this job less than a week I'm pretty proud of myself.
 
****ed the fundamental baptist devoted graphic designer bird in the bathroom at my work christmas party at lunch today.. She's a month pregnant and ****ing hot as. GHod will not be happy.

Was amazing. Now I'm home, ****ing blind listening tracks.

She's a fundamentalist Christian but she's either cheating on her husband or getting pregnant out of wedlock? Talk about hypocrisy ;)
