Manager Sack Watch 2013/14

Can really see Palace kicking on now and fighting for a top four spot. Holloway has been simply been holding them back.

FFS what do these owners expect?

My local club, Yeovil, got promoted last year when they were favourites for relegation. They are now bottom of the Championship and I wonder how long Gary Johnson will be given.

Yeah, I think we mentioned this on here before but the longest serving managers seem to be those that are at mid table championship clubs who try to sneak into the play offs each year. Actually winning them and going up just costs you your job 99% of the time
Funny and true.

Some players are Championship standard and will never do it in the EPL-the same goes for managers.

I like Holloway. I bet and hope he gets a nice payoff to help his bruised ego but he will get a job in no time to do the same as he did with Blackpool and CP.

With Di Matteo being one of the bookies' favorites for the Fulham job:

Roberto Di Matteo is still being paid £130,000 a week by Chelsea despite being sacked 12 months ago.

The Italian was unable to reach a settlement with owner Roman Abramovich on his three-year deal when he was fired six months after winning the Champions League as interim boss.

Di Matteo has already banked almost £7million and will continue to pick up the king-sized salary until next June, meaning he is reluctant to take on another job for less money.

According to Sky Sports, Malky Mackay has apparently turned down advances from Crystal Palace and they're now in talks with Dan Petrescu.

Don't think I've seen any of his teams in action, but Petrescu knows the Premier League well and has 10 years of manager experience behind him now in East European football.
Seem to have a high win percentage

It's doomed to fail no matter who they appoint. A lot of Petrescu's managerial experience is with Eastern European clubs with massive resources at their disposal.

surprised you underestimate Petrescu....apparently there are a lot of decent teams out in eastern europe
