*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Hull City, Sunday 27th October***

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas:

"We looked like the away team, we played in a difficult atmosphere with almost no support. We have a wonderful set of fans but they can do better. Away from home we play with no fear and we need that atmosphere at White Hart Lane.

"We don't need the negativity that was in White Hart Lane today."

Well said Andre. Don't turn on him for speaking the truth

Possibly not his wisest choice of words, given the way he seems to have set us up ' not to lose' He needs to keep the fans onside

At least it takes some balls to say that, but not a very wise move to criticize your own fans.

And regarding playing Eriksen and Holtby together for more passes - who would they pass to? Where would they find space? Have a lone striker is just incredibly unproductive, and very predictable, there is no way to shake things up up front. You just need to follow that guy, and take care of the guys occasionally coming in from the flanks. With two strikers, one can drop off, leave room for the other, create space for the other, play off of eachother, create **** for the wings or for the attacking midfielders. It's just the way to create more, in my book.

Whether he is right or not, and he probably is, it's best keep that sort of opinion to yourself.

Given the negatively tinted specs on some I'd say they already have.

I do imagine they could do better though. What a shame that in their past they haven't gone on and done coaching badges and made it as far. We'd be in a better position.

Maybe the fans are getting a bit sick of the dross being served up. I don't think that the comment will have huge repercussions, but not the wisest thing to say when the team is possibly the most boring witnessed at the Lane since Graham was in charge.

**** 442 how about controling the game and creating something.
With 2 strikers up front we're not gonna create more.
We need holtby and eriksen in the centre of midfield running things passing the ball around the opposition.

--------Soldado
Chadli-----------Lamela
-----Holtby-Eriksen
--------Paulinho--------
Rose-Verts-Dawson-Walker
--------Lloris------------

Look at that 5 Midfielders who can pass the ball!

I'd quite like us to play that for one game, take a hammering and then everyone can move on

Why would we take a hammering? I thought teams all camped out at the lane anyway? If were going to retain possession we may as well do it with a few playwers that can a forward pass and potentially offer movement.

Or should we keep it tight like we did against WEst Ham

There are some beatings coming just round the corner if we keep going the way we are.

I dont mind the criticism of fans, and whilst I wasnt there today even if I was I wouldnt have mind it. I can accept it but he should too. The criticism of our team is I think justified. and no - no one is talking about one game or two games, its a theme. To be fair not many are wanting him out, I certainly dont, but a change of the way the team is playing particularly at home. It is one aspect which is annoying and can cost us in the long run.

Call it a PDR call it an appraisal... no matter how well anyone does you still want to further improve, develop and enhance - that is justified.

He doesn't have to be a destroyer, his main task is to cover when both FBs have gone AWOL. Paulinho isn't that player, his strongest point is his running, getting into good attacking positions.

He should get full backs who arent headless chickens and don't both bomb on at the same time. Its not difficult.
Chelsea, Arsenal, City and United can all do it.

And this is the same Paulinho that harried and disrupted Inestia and Xavi in Confed cup final, he can do a job in that position against Hull.
You can play sandro and paulinho against a defensive side at home and then wonder why we havent created anything.

Controversial thing to say, but to be fair I didn´t hear much noise from the home fans on telly today. Has the atmosphere really deteriorated that much? I rarely get the chance to go to WHL, so I can´t really comment.

But you would expect the fans to get behind the team regardless of who we play and how we play - to a certain degree. Or has our play been so dire for so long now that the line has been crossed for the home fans?

Cartainly worrying to hear that even our own manager is critical of the noise from the home fans.

How many PL goals from open play? Or how many good goals where we opened teams up? 1 v Villa? 2 v Norwich? Can't think of any others.

Its all well and good beating Tblisi 75:0, its the losing at home to West Ham we should be looking at, and how we cant score in the league for shiit.

Our support has been **** for years.
