*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Hull City, Sunday 27th October***

Apart from the odd moment of sloppiness from some of our players we've dominated and been so, so close to getting the breakthrough numerous times.

Tempo has been good, we just need to up our concentration levels.

I thought he was excellent. Yeah, a couple of slips but he won so much ball in the middle/transitioning.

Dunno about excellent but the guy he is up against is useful and the yellow was harsh. He was one of the better players.

I thought he passed better than others who gave up possession too many times.

4-4-2 is redundant unless one of the players up top can hold the ball up or one of the ones in the middle has a creative brain. If it was with lennon, Sandro, paulinho, townsend, defoe and Soldado we'd be very boring and predictable. Eriksen on instead of Sandro, holtby to orchestrate frod eep.

What could he do? no one in front of him making a run. He had every right to go for it.

He could have passed to Townsend on his left?

Anyway, I'm still confident we'll win, we just need more composure and more creativity.

I'm still willing to give the team the benefit of the doubt, they've only been together for 10 or so games now but if this is how we're planning on playing for the whole of the season, I really don't think Soldado was the right buy. Great scorer if you provide him with chances but we're not doing much of that at the moment. Hopefully when the teams gets to know each other more, they'll start finding him more.

Also, I always get annoyed by the extremes on this board. There are some people who will criticise anything and seem to be miserable regardless of what we do. And there are others who seemingly refuse to accept that sometimes other fans might have acceptable criticisms of the team. I think the loss to West Ham warranted quite a bit of criticism. I also think a half against a Hull side with 7 injuries at WHL in which the stats other than possession are equal warrants criticism, while of course still taking into account that we have 45 more minutes and many options off the bench.

Haven't been too impressed with Sandro so far. We need to get the ball to Soldado more often otherwise he's a pointless buy. But I feel like we have another gear and many people to come on from the bench.

Horrible first half, but unfortunately not very surprising. Just an even worse version of the team we see in pretty much all our home matches. Sandro's performance must be one of the worst I have ever seen from a Spurs-player unfortunately. We have to bring him and half time put on Dembele, or even Eriksen who might give us some passing ability from a deeper position in midfield. GHod knows we need it.

Walker also very poor, but we don't really have a better option. Not that anyone has been very good. I hope we try Lennon on the right and Townsend on the left a bit more. Might give us a bith width at least. Against a 5-4-1 team, it is extremely crowded centrally.

We will win this half and win the game me thinks but the cracks may well still be there and before people start panicking - by cracks I mean the unpredictability of which spurs will turn up and ultimately tactics.

We'll win this fellas. And it will be the game that gives us the belief to beat these ultra defensive c****y teams like this.

Keep the faith.

Sounds scarily like what people were saying against West Ham.

I think it will be a bad idea to remove Sandro. You guys are focusing on him giving the ball away, but his positioning gives the defenders that extra cover.

I'm worried about that second yellow. There was one instance when he almost brought down Sagbo on our left and he pulled himself out of it at the last minute. Heart in mouth for me there.

442 with Soldado and Ade would work well in these games I think. 442 isn't cool enough though so we'll never see it.

I think Lennon might come off, at the moment we're not utilising him on the left wing. Either that, or Lennon needs to take up the right spaces and the rest of the team need to be encouraged to use him at times. I don't see any point in taking off Holtby for Eriksen. I don't think Eriksen is hugely better than Holtby and he is like for like so it would be a waste of a sub.

If Lennon can't be better utilised, perhaps bringing on Sigurdsson would improve matters.
