***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR Vs MAN UNITED -OMT***

We're gonna get spanked with that team.
Sandro and Livermore are gonna control nor create nothing.
If Modric was in there with we'd be flying.
Alas we're gonna be playing our best player out of position so we accommodate Saha playing upfront.

who would you have playing left then? Rose?

blimey.

how's that then?

Bale's not fit and i doubt VDV is either. nor is Hudd. what else we got?

you can argue the toss over JD or Saha, but that apart, it's bare bones, innit.

If we have to play 4-4-2 i wouldn't be moving Modric wide left. 2 players in the middle that can't create anything? i don't get it.

We need to be playing 4-5-1, i hope i get made to look like an idiot, but were going to get dominated in midfield, and thats where the game will be won or lost

Time will tell if Redknapp has made the right decision (its not like Modric hasn't played on the left before to great effect but the creativity coming out of those central two is poor and since then, he's been our best player in the centre) but he has made some strange decisions when playing Man utd in the past. Hopefully this one comes off.

Should have just gone with 3-5-2 again tbh if we have to play 2 strikers. At least then Modric can play in his normal position.

true, but Luka on the left has worked well in the past. can't say whether it's the right move today though.

could be a 4-2-3-1, with Sandro and Jake holding, Ade left, Lennon right, Modric in the No. 10 behind Saha?

Modric on the left? Not sure what Harry is doing. We need him in the centre and Niko on the left-hand side. I haven't heard anything about him being a doubt so assume that he is 100%.

Not confident anymore.

He's just setting the team up to sit deep concede possession and hit them on the break with lennon, ade and saha.
He's relying on our defence to soak up United pressure for 90 minutes, get a clean sheet and score one on the counter.

Can't honestly say that I'm particulary optimistic about today's game. But then again anything from this will be a bonus, please surprise me Spurs.

Luka on the left only works when we have someone else in the middle to pass, create and dictate tempo.
Back when the left side was Modric's position we had Huddlestone doing exactly that.
We weren't relying on 2 defensive midfielders in the middle.

It's worked well in the past with Huddlestone as a creator in the middle. They'll win the battle in midfield IMO, and therefore have more possession.
