Huddlestone

Sad, but ultimately best for all parties.

No one passes it like Thud. But exceptional passing of a football is, unfortunately, not enough in the modern game and it was time for him to move on.

We will find out how the new players are at creating chances. We do seem to lack a creative midfielder, but its for the best. Good luck Tom.

He sure is going to miss our training ground by the looks of it...

Some great individual performances, but ultimately not good enough.

All the best Tom! Rooting for you to finally get a goal so you can shave that fro :p

A bit sad about this acctually. I see the reasons, and I understand why, but this just feels weird... Been one of my favourites for a long time. If Hull keep him fit and gives him regular game time I suspect he'll be changing clubs again soon. A in shape and fit Thudd is a player most clubs in the league, barring the very top ones, would benefit from. Best of luck to him, and please score before you meet us at the lane!

Three years is a strange length of a contract too. Clubs get jittery when a player has two years left on a deal, definitely impacts their price. Strikes me he has gone there for a season and will get sold on at a good price. Indeed, I'd hope we got a sell on clause in there.

A player of the quality of Tom wouldn't tie himself to a long term contract to a club that may not be in the PL. It's probably a concession they needed to make to get him. It is almost a guarantee we have a sell on or bonus clause (Levy)

From Tom's perspective, a full season where the team revolves around him, and the low price tag, means he will have a few more opportunities next season.

I don't get it. I should give my money to a guy that earns probably over fifty times more than me so he can donate it to charity...

Baffling.

I'm guessing he's donated a healthy chunk himself. Just a way for him to raise awareness and encourage others to donate I'd imagine.

Sad to see Tom go. One of the last survivors of the Jol era and winner of Carling Cup (won us the penalty iirc); good luck Tom I will be rooting for you except when you play us.=D>

I'll miss you alot Tom! One of my favs! *salute*

Agreed. Loved his passing technique and some of the passes he played were amongst the best that I've seen from any player. I remember one friendly in which he was playing in defence against a foreign team away from home. He played the perfect pass from defence right on to the feet of our attacking player, incredible pass.

Against Inter he impressed too. A ball with the outside of his boot from one side of the pitch to the other. His passing skills were immense.

I loved his goal against Arsenal too!!

Sad that he's left but I wish him all the best and will watch Hull games when they are on TV to see how he does. Come on Agent Thudd get the winner v Chelsea!!
