Roberto Soldado

Yep, depends on how much the difference is.5/6 million? I think we re justified in negotiating.

1 or 2 million? I think sometimes you have to just go that little extra to make sure you make the real. Like you said, I don't wanna lose him to Liverpool/ napoli etc cos we re negotiating over such amounts.

It looks like weve found out Valencia have somebody already signed up so weve dropped out original offer..

Loic Remy and Lisandro Lopez....ive said it all along

Napoli will buy Soldado

People need to calm down. We re doing a deal that is likely to break our transfer record by quite a few million. If it does go through, its unlikely to be done over an afternoon.

As someone has already pointed out, neither of us are in the strongest position. We know valencia are broke. They know we re desperate for a striker. Wouldn't exactly by the most surprising thing to see is both going at it for q while to get the best deal.

Well said. Like you said in your other post it does depend on how much we are haggling around.

Also this whole moving the goal post stories could always be fabricated. I hope that's not true, I can imagine that being extremely annoying to deal with if a deal had principally been agreed. Anyway, it's all guessing games, we don't know the truth.

Exactly.

The Valencia chairman said it himself the other day - Spurs want Soldado for the least amount possible, Valencia want as close to 30m euros as possible. Over time we will probably meet somewhere in the middle, but neither club has an imperative to buckle and finish the deal now.

Maybe once we hit August Levy might be more willing to loosen the purse strings to get him in before the first game, but I can't see him happily sanctioning a £25m transfer that would eclipse our record by nearly £10m in a summer where we have already broken it once.

I think we'll probably end up getting him for somewhere in the region of £22m in a couple of weeks' time. Valencia have to sell him so unless someone blows us out of the water (there are still younger, more fashionable options out there for the bigger clubs), we will get our man.

i cant wait to see Levy accepting a lower offer for Bale once Man Utd/City/Real find out we already have Bale's replacement ](*,).....

Levy has previous.....Lloris. Aulas and Lyon were not impressed

Its ok we dont need a striker we have Dempsey, Ade & Defoe or lets just rely on Bale to score 95% of our goals again, I mean its not like we missed out on the CL by the last 2 years or anything but us not signing a decent striker..

This whole thing fudges me off so much

I'll tell you what fudges me off : people jumping on any negative twitter gossip as though it's gospel and using it as a stick to beat the club with.

well everyone jumped on the positive twitter gossip last night and now they are jumping on the negative stuff....its human nature, its football, ups and downs, we want a striker, weve waited for a top striker for toooooooooooooooooooo long......its frustraaaaaaaaaaaaaating

:)

We got our man eventually though and for the price we wanted(presumably).

hopefully also in this case we have no rivals for his signature and Soldado really really wants to join Spurs, because thats what happened with Lloris

Its all tongue in cheek......none of us know wtf is going on or what has happened.... I make tongue in cheek comments but I know these negotiations are a minefield...... I said lets have a meltdown just for a laugh..

Were just all desperate for 'that striker' that's where marky's views come from I guess.... like me he is just desperate for that elusive forward....... we all know better than to treat itk as gospel...... basically we are waiting to see what happens and having a laugh until we know something concrete......

im really pleased with the two deals done but am anxious for that striker.......if its not soldado then so be it.... we move on.......we will get someone this window im sure of that......whether its a deal most of us agree on is another matter.

IF its true that we have made a revised offer because we have found out Valencia have lined up a replacement, I dont get it....what have the two things got in common. Valencia value their player at a certain price, and if they sell they have to buy a replacement. Thats their business. If we had already made an offer which apparently was close to what Valencia want, we must have been happy to offer that amount so why not just leave it on the table???

Getting excited over a potential deal is a bit different to slagging off the club for something we don't have any idea is true or not. I see where you're coming from though

of course we dont know if its true or not, I mean Levy doesnt have any previous in low balling on deals does he, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So, if it's good news from twiter, they are idiots, ITK, time wasters.

If it's bad news from twitter, let's believe it, I hate Levy, why do they lie to the fans?

Load of tosh.
