The Blue & Yellow ITK Bonanza Thread

Never mind what affect the court case might have (as it's unlikely he'll be convicted), I like the fact that our players are never involved in any trouble and wouldn't want to go near someone charged with rape.

I expect someone will say 'innocent until proven guilty' etc...but John Terry was found not guilty. I'm sure most wouldn't want to go anywhere near him.

Chadli, Bale and Remy as a front 3 is a pretty horrible though tbht. Great on the break but offers nothing whatsoever against organised defending.

 So Bale offer nothing against organised defending? Only around 10 goals last year...

It sounds like quite a nasty case the Remy one too. He was one of three men arrested IIRC.

Long ranges shots should be a last resort, not a first. If we had forwards who could find space in the box, Bale might have a few less goals, but an awful lot more assists.

Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy has been arrested on suspicion of rape.

The 26-year-old French international was held by Scotland Yard's sex crime squad along with two other men who were arrested in Fulham, west London.

They were questioned over allegations that a 34-year-old woman was raped on 6 May by three men.

Mr Remy's solicitors said the player denied the allegation, but he could not comment. The men have been released on bail until September.

£8m deal
The allegation was passed to the Met from Kent Police two days after the woman said she was attacked.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "Three men, aged 26, 23 and 22, were arrested at an address in Fulham on suspicion of rape."

Mr Remy joined QPR from Marseille in an £8m deal in January.

In a statement Mr Remy's solicitors, Harbottle & Lewis, said: "Our client is aware of press reports concerning his arrest by the Metropolitan Police Service on the morning of 15 May 2013.

"Our client denies the claim that has been made. Our client is not able to make any further comment in relation to this matter."

It added he "has not been charged with any offence".

A spokesperson for QPR said the club was "aware of the allegations" but could not comment while the police investigation was continuing.

so he hasnt actually been charged with anything?

If you have a shot like Bale? long range shots are a great option, makes defenders come out to close you down, potentially creating space behind them.

Or Redknapp was.

The same Redknapp that tried to get us to spend £20m on Kenwyne Jones. And made us spend £10m on a striker who scored the goal that secured CL qualification, scored to help top the group, and scored the goal that took us to the quarter finals.

I'm no Crouch fan, but credit where credit's due

Greyfox on SC:

Ok, been told we are definetely still in the mix for Soldado and Bernard will know one way or the other sometime next week. Also looking at a number of younger players. My source thinks Dempsey and Lennon could be let go for the right price. Still nothing about left back situation, but could try for another defender either utility or CB.

The proceedings are supposed to be subject to injuctions in cases like this I think, but I'm sure it was Alan Pardew who blabbed about the September court case (in the context of him being a target for Saudi Sportswashing Machine).

ahh isit? fair enough.

I still wouldn't mind him here to be fair. Wasn't the price something like £5m? Thats always worth a gamble. As long as he isn't our main target of course.

Still big wages for a Bale/Chadli understudy, when we have Dempsey and Lennon already.

He won't be an understudy for those imo. If he does come he'll be an understudy to the main striker we sign meaning Defoe can go. It's also helpful Remy can cover on the right if needs be.

do you think it would be Defoe over Adebayor that goes in that scenario?

either one staying with Soldado and Remy coming in, alongside our current squad, and id be very optimistic

I want it to be defoe but i think Ade will go sadly. You're right though, that selection is promising.
