The Blue & Yellow ITK Bonanza Thread

Why not (assuming we get Pjanic and Villa):

......... Villa ................ Bale
.................... Pjanic
........ Dembele ...... Paulinho
................... Sandro
Rose .............................. Walker
......... Vertonghen .. Kaboul
.................... Lloris

Would get our 11 best on the pitch (think BAE's gone).. Rose and Walker providing the width, would be nearly impossible to get through the middle against that team. Would also have some serious power throughout and good trickery through Pjanic and Villa.

That is also narrow for our team. Should an opposition set up similarly then we will struggle to find space. The Pjanic deal looks unlikely, so maybe as a back up plan, a three pronged attack with two wingers. Maybe Bale on the right to cut inside (I think AVB had Hulk do a similar job at Porto) and Lennon/Townsend on the left. Hopefully Villa in the middle

I know KD and others disagree, but I still think we'll use Villa on the left and sign another CF (Soldado/Leandro).

i disagree, but not for the same reasons as most will - i think the front 3 will be very fluid with lots of movement and interchanging, draging the opposition around and creating space

I agree and I also agree I think we will be after another striker even if we sign Villa. Sounds like both Ade and Defoe could go.

Sounds good to me.

Ade won't go. No one can afford his wages without City subsidising them, like they do for us.

I also think AVB would like to see him after a proper pre-season (BAE similarly)

We've got no idea whether the subsidy carries over should we sell him. It would have been pretty bad negotiating by us if we signed a player who we had no chance of selling for the length of their contract.

Any chance of some ITK in this thread?...

...No? Any chance of the last 400 posts being moved then?

...No?

Typical.

By the time you reach close to 200 posts on this forum you should really be internet and Spurs savvy enough to figure out where to find discussion free ITK updates about Spurs if that's what you seek.

I'm sure someone can help you out if you're not, loads of helpful and friendly people around here...

No, I know exactly where to find them - but I'd rather stay here. I'm internet and Spurs savvy enough cheers mate.

Just, wouldn't it be nice, just nice, if the ITK discussion related to ITK? I don't think it's fair that people get away with posting shedloads of posts about where Pjanic's best position is in an ITK threat, there's probably a thread on him already, as well as one about Spurs next season, and one on formations and tactics. Given these posters already clearly state they don't even think the guy will sign for Spurs, why debate it at all, let alone here?

The mods (Hey, all) like to control what goes where, and who can debate what etc - but seem not to care about this thread, which annoys me. This is the ITK thread, let's keep it like that yeah?

As it happens, I have some ITK (yay) expect us to be heavily linked with Jonathan Williams over the first few months of the season. His agent has already had discussions with some 'Spurs representatives' - we want to see how he gets on in the big league first though. And so does he.

The mods stated quite clearly in this and previous windows, that we want as little input into this sub-forum as possible.

Self-moderation.

It frustrates me too, how people manage to go off topic so much, but it also helps the mods decide what format the sub-forum(s) should take in future.

FYI, there is discussion in the admin forum about a read only ITK thread, but ultimately, we offered this open to you lot, and this is what results.

Democracy at work.

I think Scara or milo could fill the role of a ruthless dictator beautifully... Organise a violent coup! Lock up the insurgents and behead them!

JJetset and POTL can be head of the propaganda division.

Leftie bastards. Wait till Chich reads this ;)

Personally I think you will see us operate two systems next season

System one: 4-3-3

Where Bale (right) Villa (left) and a new forward will be the line up, this will be used against very defensive teams

System two: 4-2-3-1

Where Bale plays in the hole and Villa as centre forward with a left sides player and Im guessing lennon will come into play. Pacey system to counter attack teams away from home especially.

Just my view!

Neil Eatson on twitter today says that he's been told by two different people over coffee this morning that Benteke is looking good.

He then went onto say that he thinks at the moment we're trying to play a few clubs off against each other, but that in the end we'll sign one of Soldado, Benteke or Remy.

He later confirmed that this would be in addition to David Villa.

Oh and Graham Roberts has just tweeted saying that he's heard brilliant news that Gareth Bale is staying and well done Daniel Levy.

I just really, REALLY can't see any legs in the Benteke stuff, no way he leaves for less than £25m and no way we splash that much on a player.

we paid 16 mill for Darren Bent 6 years ago  that was a shocker for me, never thought he was worth that amount at the time. So now in 2013 I think if the deal was structured to Levy's liking, i can see a 25 mill deal for Benteke

hmm suppose £17m on Paulinho (unless it's all one big fudging joke?!!!) signals we are willing to go big.

Would love Benteke at Spurs, slight worries over 2nd season syndrome but the lad has the tools.

for me, just like with Bent, I wouldnt want us to pay so much for Benteke but i can understand Levy possibly going for it.

Id rather we did our best to get Villa, and then sign someone cheaper with potential, someone like Altidore at AZ Alkmaar who is available for 7 mill.
