Really can't see where the goals are to come from. Seems that it is either a bit of individual brilliance from Bale or nothing. CM not working at all.

Thats 4.5 consecutive poor performances

Bale and Holtby have been playing i nthe same position since LH came on. Bale should move back over to the left as we're unbalanced at the moment

Parker has been anonymous, Dembele trying really hard to take the game to them with some good runs. We just need someone with the presence of Sandro in there.
 
Incipid is the word I'd use to sum up our first half performance.

Far too ponderous on the ball giving them ample time to pack the middle, it's the same old story this season. More desire and belief please.

Nobody has played that badly yet nobody is willing to get the game by the scruff of the neck.
 
Hopefully Togo will lose tonight so that we have Ade back for Necastle next Sat; otherwise his semi final would be on wed and even if they lost he would be back in the UK til Fri so AVB would probably not start him v Saudi Sportswashing Machine
 
I'm quite excited to see the second half here contrary to most opinions on here. Holtby, Dembele and Parker should mean we boss ths midfield. WBA only looking to counter us and I'm a little worried about our high line with such willing runners in Lukaku and Long.

I'm encouraged that I feel Holtby could get more from Azza and Bale too. AVB should think about Sig for Dempsey just to switch the up midway through the half depending on how the game evolves.
 
Yet again, as with soooooo many times this season the only way we look like getting a goal is through a split second of brilliance by Bale or some lucky deflected effort.

Its been the same thing game after game, week after week, month after month this season. Regardless of results our peformances have been utter brick for 80% of this season.

Mate, if you're relying on Adebayor to inject belief, dynamism and goals into this side, you're going to be sorely disappointed.
