[[OMGT - Tottenham vs QPR]]

Ok I am frustrated today. I feel like we didn't want it enough. We really lack someone or players at times who say "you know, a point against the bottom club isn't enough here". I just felt, just like last season v Sunderland away, or QPR away, we didn't really go for it. They were there for the taking. Credit QPR for their work rate, but they had zero ambition. I understand why they did it but that is out problem and we failed to do something about it.
Just hope QPR now beat our rivals.

First half we were second best and seemed to want it less than them, but second half we picked it up. Then from about 60 minutes onwards they dropped as deep as possible. It's always going to be hard to break down a Premier League team that shows absolutely no ambition. They are working hard for the their lives and coming off the back of a win against Chelsea.

Our players wanted it today, if Ade took his chance it's a different game. I'm fine with how it went today.

Think your being over critical, don't think they were there for the taking, they set out for the draw and on that pitch it's difficult to break anyone down. Don't think there was a lack of effort either, just think too many attacking players had an off day, missed controls and poor passes + we don't have that X factor creative player who does something out of nothing, the ginola, gazza, berbatov. Bale's good but he's as much about pace as anything, those others would create something in a shot glass!

Lovely line that...

I agree with you. I thought our attitude today was poor.

Thought it was best illustrated when Lennon came off. 10 minutes to go, 0-0 away against the bottom team and he just slowly walked off. No hurry, no need to get going. Seemed almost like we were happy with the 0-0 and trying to waste time.

First 10-15 minutes of the second half we looked good, but after that we didn't really look threatening.

I really missed Ekotto today, thought we really missed some purposeful passing. Can't think of a single good forward pass made by any of our full backs today, but that might just be my memory.

I'm raging over this game, but it is in some ways the same old story where we can't break down teams who put up a mass defense. Yes there were a few good saves from Ceasar but lets face it not that many. Too many attacking players had an off game and QPR simply wanted it more. They won most of the 50-50's which was disappointing.

You can't win them all I know, but it is these types of games that Utd always seem to come out on top. Every Utd player absolutely desperate to win. It is something I still don't see in our guys.

Went to the game today but from where I was sitting it just lacked so much pace, impetus, desire and vigor. What really tinkled me off is the last ten mins it was QPR looking more likely to score and showing DESIRE to score whilst we were too busy just prancing around doin jack brick. I dont blame them for parking the bus.

When we are bad we really are bad.

Frustrating, but not unexpected given our apparent lack of imagination in the final third and the way Redknapp was bound to have them park one.

at home. oohhhh yer. that form wins you titles lads.

Agree with that, it annoyed me as well.

Maybe, like me, he was disappointed in being taken off.?

I still think he was the one to unlock that defence

10 minutes left. Away to the bottom side. 0-0. Be as disappointed as you fudging want, but if you get subbed get off the pitch so that we can start playing again. QPR were wasting enough time, we don't need our players doing the same.

At least Lennon was in the game even if his end product was brick, Bale was like a ghost. But Bale is never going to be subbed. And why does he think he's Ronaldo with the way he lines up to take a free kick and the douch sideburns?

We really wern't that bad. We just couldn't create enough to break them down. We were the better team by far.

his passing was not poor but the majority think it was so whatever.

i don't usually critique him for it but today i i thought he was poor in his passing, for sure - playing long balls to players already marked is a totally pointless exercise and something he done many times. lately our patience in possession has been impressive, to me anyways - today we lost some of that

Yet again Lennon left and Bale right totally nullified us.

There was no space in the middle, so we switched the wingers and had even less space, then tried to plough through the middle through Mbia and Derry and Nelsen and Hill.

Pointless when we put Lennon left and Bale right against a deeeep defence.

No creativity was the problem.

When Dembele is nullified, that is well, it. You can't rely on Sandro/Parker to be your most creative players. It is why we need to have 3 in the middle. Moutinho/Holtby/Whoever playing with Dembele and Sandro/Parker in the middle today and it would have been a TOTALLY different game. You can mark one out of the game but it's pretty damn tricky to man mark two out of the game.
