*** TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Maribor OMT ***

No he wasn't, he thought about letting it roll across him, looked to see where his right back was, then decided to cut back inside.

He could have whacked it if he wanted to, given it a Size 12 HOOOOOOF and taken the striker's leg off too!

Ok then the other explanation is we are constantly trying to play from the back so rather than hoof it he looked to see thr right back - he wasnt there so he tried to take the guy on.

All in all it was a calamity but thats the risk of playing keep ball from the back

We should be out of sight anyways

The thing is with keepers now is that if someone makes a mistake they get dropped. Gone are the years of one keeper, even if they make a mistake. Lloris should start the next game and should be our number one and not had to worry, although there should be competition. But AVB should have some faith in him

That was a bad back pass but even worse clearance by the way

Lloris needs to be playing week-in-and-out and raise his match fitness / sharpness - not the odd little game here and there. This keeper rotation flimflam is exactly that

Brad has made mistakes himself last 2 games so Sunday is fair game as far as I'm concerned

Absolutely pathetic to blame Lloris for that. Naughton 100% did not have to put him under that sort of pressure. If in doubt, get it out. Put it out for a throw in if you havent got a pass available. That was suicidal by naughton

Uh, but Lloris put Naughton under severe pressure in the first place when he could have just played it long up field.. It's a bit chicken n' egg innit?

If communication is poor between the keeper and his back four, that'd be because.....oh thats right, he never f*ckin gets to play with the back four.

Im wating for the go 2-1 up and AVB immediately taking off a striker to defend the lead and then we will concede a brick goal in injury time

My view was both but i really dont see how Lloris could have whacked it - he was stretching a bit to get the ball
I reckon he could've played it up the right hand side of the pitch, tried to be too cute. Naughton shouldn't have played the ball tho.

And besides all that, we should've had 3 or 4 at the other end by now.

We started so well. Completely dominated. Scored a good goal. But then - as is Spurs way at the moment - we completely go off the boil. Swap Lennon and Bale, slow down the tempo, keep getting offside to break up our rythm and gradually let Maribor back into the game.

I know we cant go at 100% all the time, but often we seem the architects of our own misfortune.

Need to start the second half like we started the first.
