***Tottenham Hotspur v Norwich City OMT***

nothing wum about it at all......AVB would rather hold onto slender one goalleads than trying to score more and finish the game off. Weve seen it too many times already

All you ever do is slate Levy and AVB - give it a rest ffs.

He brought on Verts for some extra bodies and quality at the back knowing they come at us hard in the last 10 mins with nothing to lose

Lloris and Carroll excellent, Falque very good along with Caulker, Huddlestone getting better and Naughton looked fine, there were some positives.

AVB's substitutions this season have consistently terrible this year. Genuinely can't think of a substitution he has made this year which has changed the game for us...

In fact the only one i can think of was against QPR...

so that's one then

The taco fans slag off AVB when there's nothing to slag off. They'll have a field day when they have a cheap excuse.

Can you block people on here? There's a dozen people who speak so much negative brick, I really wish I didn't have to read their drivel.

Good to see Carroll getting a game. Dempsey and Siggy been very disappointing so far.
AVB needs to sort out this protecting a lead from 30 minutes out mentality. It will cost us in more important games than this. (Having said that -I did want to see what Verts would be like in midfield -probably better to wait for agame when we are several goals up though)

What's embarassing is were going for it in all of the cup games and not winning any of them.
Whilst' i'm gutted to lose, I don't think that we've considered this a priority given that we rested the spine of the team in Gallas, Sandro and Defoe. There are positives I can take from the game and there are negatives as well.
Unfortunately the negatives are that I don't think that we can trust our Chairman with making signings; we have wasted a lot of money on Sig and Dempsey.

Interesting to note how much we controlled the game with Carroll on...hope AVB takes this to the bank...I think he is an excellent option for us, really really rate the lad...is that gaffer's tape on Dempsey's head? Superb!

Don't think Carroll was anything more than average, not ready for this level yet. Misplaced passes, definitely not controlling the midfield, needs to bulk up and get himself more involved. The combination of Norwich moving more men forward and Vertonghen being half asleep is what cost us. That and the lack of a striker.

Only noticed Dempsey when he was coming deep and Sigurdsson completely invisible apart from when he got fouled late on.

Lloris and Falque good, Naughton did his chances little harm either.

Redknapp, AVB, Hoddle, Frances, Gross whoever the fudge is in charge we dont know how to close a game out. We have a mental block and lack the winning spirit and bottle to hang onto leads. It doesnt matter who is in charge! nothing will ever chance. So quit blaming this one and that one!

we have seen it all before.

You can place posters on ignore

AVBs changes for some reason tend to work negatively FOR US. His subs have actually been pretty poor the majority of the times. Its a theme a trend.

Tonight he replaced the much-maligned Livermore at HT for the much-championed Hudd (a move which could be seen as 'positive' in so much as he is a DM with better passing range)...he took off Carroll (first game of the season so not likely to be out there all night) and replaced him with Verts, who a few have wanted to see in midfield! I think once again we saw how stretched we are squad-wise. The ONLY change he could've made which would've been perhaps better (in hindsight) would've been Townshend for Caroll, as they were at that point going for an equalizer and Andros could've perhaps punished them...weird game really...still waiting for Sig to arrive...

Dempsey hasn't played well, but I'm still glad we have him. Hopefully he can pick himself up after that. He still has a lot to offer.

Very irritating game. Showed our lack of maturity. A few players didn't see the game out with full intensity, letting them back in. Still its less games to play and can focus more on CL and europa.

A lot of people who slag AVB off are massive Redknapp fans, I saw this amongst a few of my friends too. A lot of people had some illogical hate for him before he even stood on the touchline. He was brought in to oversee a long term project and in him I trust.

Ah well, would have been nice to get to Wembley but time to turn our attention to Wigan. It would be nice to see Ade back for that as I he could have a very good day against their defence if he's fit and firing.
