O/T Capello Resigns / New England Manager Speculation Thread

I'd love Lambert or Rodgers to be given a chance but can't see t somehow. Not sure how patient we as fans would be and how some of the players would react

I was told by some senior people at the club a while back that Sherwood was beng groomed for the job... Bu I think it may well come too soon unfortunately
 
We have a contract with Harry...he is up to his neck in debt with bad property deals.

We are holding the cards.

Tell the FA to fudge right off and Pearce can take charge until May.

Harry goes to England camp after the last game of the season, not a second before!!

What a Joke.

The players are 3rd in the premiership and they need a manager to compliment that. Someone that has won something, so that the players can aspire to. Also what decent players are going to come to a club with those managers?

If that was the deal, everyone would know about it. The pressure would still be on Harry and his thoughts would no doubt wander between Spurs and England. Apart from who would be with the squad for a couple of days and on the bench for the one single friendly there would be very little difference between that and him just having both jobs outright.

And someone mentioned Pardew. Well i would have him over many names ive seen. Pardew has something arrogant about him that i like. Winner's arrogance.

The Sherwood talk has been around before.

He is highly regarded within the club - a lot higher than Bond and Jordan apparently.

The talk was that Sherwood should be head coach - and then a new dof would be appointed.

But remember; it was only a rumour.
 
Rodgers Swansea side play great football, but I just can't see the likes of Bale and Modric sticking around if we go for someone like him. Think they have gotta go for a big name like Mourinho even though I detest his Madrid side, or possibly someone with CL experience like Deschamps.

don't really rate Pardew at all tbh - he has bought extremely well at Saudi Sportswashing Machine i will give him that but they don't really play good football and he is wasting Ben Arfa - don't think Greg the resident Geordie thinks highly of him despite their position - says it all really
 
Swansea manager is a good shout. It is amazing how he has that team playing. But again, if he did well for us we would lose him in a year or two.

Daniel, you took this stance with Modric, take it with Harry. Save him from himself if he is indeed desperate to end his career by managing England.
