****OMT-Tottenham v QPR******

He will be gone by xmas thank GHod. Never wanted harry but did not want this fool either, we just do not look like scoring anymore. More then the manager going we need to get rid of levy before the club moves forward, he is the man holding us back.

Levy has fcuked it up.

again.

We're a good counter-attacking side. When given space, and time, we can play beautifully well, as evidenced by Reading last week. But we'll only get that much space when playing away. When playing at home, teams will mash up into two banks of four and we will utterly fail to do anything. We don't have a man who can hold the ball up and bring our midfielders into the game. Well, we do, but he's injured/unfit/both. In the meantime, we will continue to struggle playing Defoe up front against these defensive tactics at home.

This sounds just like the back end of 10/11, actually. The argument, I mean.

Our midfield has no balance whatsoever.

Problem this season hasnt been our midfield. OUr wingers, aside from this game, have been the same as last year and Sandro/Dembele isnt much difference to our CM last year

The problem is that Sigurdsson has been absolutely dog-brick this season - he's done nothing. Add to that we have Defoe up top rather than Ade....and whilst he has got goals, if he doesnt score then he's doing nothing. Its meant that our CF and the man just off him are not doing anything

We miss him sure but we have the quality to beat QP fudging R.

different squad and system now though. If we met QPR today with system of last year and same players bar Modric, we'd probablly win, we played well without Modric last year.

Yep, let's get back to the glory glory Sugar days....

But we dont have a midfield anymore. Its a fudging big problem. We just will not be able to keep possession with this staff. Its a bunch of unintelligent head down run forwards players. All the guile and artistry has been ripped out of the team.

Unfortunately, in my opinion anyway, that team isnt very good a) on paper b) evidently on the pitch.
I used to be firmly a Levy man myself, I had every confidence that he wouldn't hold us back. However I feel that it seems that he decides who we go for, rather than the manager. Vertonghen, Sigurdsson and Dembele were all targets that had been identified before AVB and even during Redknapp's reign. We need to get players who fit in with AVBs footballing ideologys.

Baffles me that some think Sig/Dembele/Dempsey would represent an improvement over VDV/Modric (and I say that as someone delighted with Dembele signing). Simply did not replace outgoings with enough quality and are trying a new approach which is going to take time. Just hope we speed it up a bit because we do not have the players to play a slow build-up game (especially as we have no real playmaker)

Not good. Our best player has been Friedel. Bit of a spark at the end with the Bale run. Hudd to be the game winner for us. Dempsey-what is he?

@ Milo

What do you think of Bale at lb now eh????

I think Bale at left back is a good option to have. But the problem is it's a good option to have when your midfield is bossing the game and your full backs are getting forward a lot (like we did last year). Right now we just aren't keeping the ball and also Dempsey is not a wide player IMO. What's ironic is that Pienaar is tailor made for this system (and not 4-4-x that HR had us playing) and we got rid of him

We can still turn this around this match and up until Xmas. But it's going to take a lot of balls from AVB because IMO it will mean basically not playing any of his new signings with the exception of Verts and maybe Lloris. Our strongest team if everyone is fit IMO is :

-------------Friedel or Lloris-----------
Walker---Dawson---Verts------Ekotto
Lennon---Hudd----Parker-----Bale
-----------Ade------Defoe--------

Who on that pitch has the balls to step up. Win your individual battles first and foremost.

We feel flat after last season for sure but this is going to wake up something far more ugly in us fans unless we pull our finger out

Spurs used to be the tonic that lifted our weekends, now we are just plunged further in to darkness by us :(

Dembele has been class. Problem is that Siggy and Dempsey have been absolutely awful. Means that we're effectively playing with 9 or 10 men....and to htat we have Defoe who adds nothing in open play (whereas Ade was at least a target) and we're bound to struggle

If AVB is the Messiah he's cracked up to be then his time has come to show it and come up with the right changes. Hands up all those who believe he's capable of it?

H'mm. Thought so.
