i think he has way, way more vision and skill than Wilson personally...

Yeah that's a strange comparison imo. Wilson was a destroyer and absolute monster at that but Fernandes is much more of deep lying playmaker. He is genuinely very good on the ball, great vision, usually great execution, really comfortable receiving under pressure etc. None of those traits are really things you could say Mr Palacios excelled at. In recent times Palhinha is probably a lot closer to Palacios but even he is a different style of DM imo.

I was talking about him as a person. Not on the pitch.

On the pitch I think Carrick is the closest comparison.
