I quite appreciate honestly and pragmatism so I didn't see it as unnecessary. Look at this summer with the signings we have made some were talking about winning the league or challenging for it. It needed a performance like today to bring them back down to earth. If RDZ comes out now and says something along the lines of this is going to be a difficult season, we are a new team and we will win some and lose some I wouldn't think less of him. I'd quite respect the honesty because its suggests he has a plan to maximise what he has.Did you need Thomas Frank to come in and announce early doors that 'we will lose football matches'?
I did not.
For someone as apparently detached from reality as you like to paint me, I was keenly aware we would not go unbeaten in a season.
It was utterly unnecessary.
