Eli Junior Kroupi

That'll be the day!

If we pull this off, who will Kroupi immediately replace in the team?

If we pay 80M-ish, he comes in as our #9. We aren't paying that for a winger/utility role.

The more interesting question is who stays between Richi & Solanke. Solanke is the more RDZ player but he's also someone that drops for the ball (role Kroupi will do), he does have the best hold up play of the three, but against a deep side where we end up putting lots of balls into box, richi might be a better option. You also have the perspective that Solanke would get better fee on market.

Very interesting points, especially regarding Richarlison's strengths when he can act purely on instinct in the box and not get involved with build-up play (which exposes all his limitations with touch and passing)

Wingers are pretty important.

Or neither and go Kroupi and Lankshear?

So many forwards now are now able play both out wide and centrally such as Cunha and Mbuemo at ManU, Marmoush at City, Ekitike etc and can switch positions during a game giving the team more tactical flexibility. I would suggest given our lack of true wide options, playing front two strikers where they can stay inside together or one goes out wide would give the opposing team all kids of fits.

No reason Kroupi Jr. couldn't do this for us. Tel too.

Not saying it couldn't be done, think RDZ does like players that can provide more than one role. I'd expect his primary starting role to be #9, against low blocks or chasing a game, we could use options

How? Still not heard anything from a reliable source.

Think just the Graeme Bailey article in the Evening Standard, which mentions that PSG have moved off Kroupi to finalize Ferran Torres, and Spurs now feel 'confident' about the deal.

Pretty slim pickings given it's Graeme Bailey. I'm not convinced by this kid - he has the raw tools, but there's big question marks over him that give me pause. Honestly would be okay with just going with Solanke and Richy this season and reassessing next summer. But, hey, what do I know.

Richy is now in his last year. If we don't sell him this summer or order him an extension (GHod no) then we lose him for no fee.

The only sensible approach to take is to sell him this summer for whatever we can get.

We’re not going to profit on Solanke either.

don't disagree, just made the point that both Kroupi and Solanke are strikers that work by dropping for the ball.

Richi is different, more chaos, battering ram, better in box.

What we do will say what RDZ plans

To use the rest of the budget to buy an amalgamation machine to blend their talents into one bionic player

It's very possible that any Kroupi sale will be held up by Bournemouth wanting to get the replacement player in the door first.
