Tennis thread

Perhaps our players should try dancing off the pitch like this next time they get booed at final whistle 😅

I don’t quite know why but I really can’t take to Radicanu. I certainly don’t wish her any ill-will (or injury) but I just don’t find her very likeable.

There's just something about her, sure she has had a lot of injuries and all that but her mindset isn't what I would call solid. Hell, she even pulled out of Wimbledon when it was Murray's last time there.

Aside something being broken, she should have just hobbled around or w/e out of respect for the situation imo

I was cheering for her like it was Spurs when she won the US Open. Unfortunately, she just hasn't managed to build on that success at all.

It doesn't help that she's been chopping and changing coaches every few months. At some point, you need a bit of stability.

I also get the impression that some tennis players are perfectly content with being in the top 20, earning a great living, travelling the world, and enjoying the lifestyle that comes with it—fashion events, sponsorships, and so on. Nothing wrong with that, but it can feel like the hunger to become world No. 1 or win multiple Slams isn't always there. I'm looking at you, Heather Watson and Nick Kyrgios. Raducanu seems to fit that mould too.

Nick Kyrgios hates tennis & has said so numerous times. he's only interested in the money which is sad because he is a very talented player when he can be bothered. I think you are right Raducanu needs to find a coach for the long term & a good sports psychologist to help her focus. i could be wrong but i think if she got that sorted given time you'd see a different Raducanu
