We won't see Deki again IMO
MGW is a better player anyway and would be our best AM

Huh? What baggage - if there's a deal to be done and he's willing to join it would highlight further the issue last summer was Marinakis' ego.
I think this rumour is rearing its head again on social media.
Batten down the hatches, everybody.
The whole baggage of being willing to come but then not because of the 'release clause' issue and then signing an extension under duress.
I'm pretty sure he is on more than what we were offering last time and i'm not sure at this point he'd be worth the hassle..and it WILL be hassle to sign him now, especially as Forest would see it that we are no better placed than they are now (unlike last summer when we could at least say we had CL etc).
The effort to sign him (and even us going for him last summer - was that only because of the relatively cheap release clause anyway?), i'd rather use it to get a top midfielder like Wharton or a striker better than who we currently have now

He was having issues with his child and health, he was put under pressure when having a personal issue, we would all likely act the same.
I don't really understand why any of that means we shouldn't sign him - asides from the second part which is obviously a matter of personal preference.
Regarding last summer's failed move - we would know either way whether Forest would be willing to do the deal now and whether the player would be willing to sign now - that's all that matters.

I hear that.
It just feels like same old, same old: doing a deal just because it's convenient. I don't think MGW is so good that we should go back tbh, i guess personal preference.
It will certainly cost us a lot so i guess that will sort of cancel my first point about doing a deal out of convenience....
I saw someone claiming that the Independent journo Miguel Delaney was saying we're back interested in him.Why are you saying this btw? Where are you seeing such rumours?
I'm not sure he's the right player for us now. He's a bit blunt, in the way Gallagher, Sarr and Bergvall also are. We need more guile further up the pitch, esp with Simons out and injury doubts about Kulu and Maddison

But I'm not fully on the various social media channels so haven't seen it directly myself.
Guy scored just got 15 goals in the Premier League and he's not a striker.I'm not sure he's the right player for us now. He's a bit blunt, in the way Gallagher, Sarr and Bergvall also are. We need more guile further up the pitch, esp with Simons out and injury doubts about Kulu and Maddison
That was glorygloryeze, not me.Lol your post saying “baggage” suggested something more sinister about him personally.
If anyone thinks Marinakis would let him come here, after all the nonsense he pulled last summer, I'm sorry to say you're almost certain to be disappointed.
He isn't a businessman that sets a value and sticks to it. He is, fundamentally, a murderous gangster (literally linked to murders and coke smuggling into Europe), and murderous gangsters don't like being seen to lose face.
Fit and proper as per the Premier League, though, so there is that.
