Cristian Romero

Bit harsh. Think his card has been marked by officials and commentators in this country and tackles/fouls he makes that might warrant a stern lecture/yellow for other players get him a red. He will be fine in Spain I think, which is where I think he will go this summer especially if we can get £55-60m

I think you just need to look at the way Joelinton is treated by referees and media compared to Romero. Romero dives into tackles recklessly and often looking to gain revenge for previous tackles, to me Joelinton appears just to want to hurt people for no reason other than him being a thug.

I agree with a lot of that, and maybe I should have been more specific. He was dependable under Ange after the red card against Cheat$ki.

I also think RDZ could be the guy that really unlocks the best from him on a weekly basis. Romero is the type who respects strength, but will go rogue if allowed to. RDZ will shut that down at the first sign of it happening.

But as long as we received 60 mil, I’d be ok with him leaving. Danso is a very capable replacement, as would be Senesi on a free.
Senesi is left footed and would be a VDV alternate... Romero's logical would be Vuskovic...

I may be in the minority here but i really hope Romero stays.
He is one of my favorite players in the current squad (tbh it's a pretty low bar though) because he has a little bit of that old school centre-back nastiness about him as well as being a maverick too.

I believe a lot of the negativity on here about him is due to him not being a traditional English-style CB. He's not the blood-and-thunder, chest out type but more of a quiet, calculating assassin who is curiously better on the ball than without it.

But in a truly big game, such as the EL Final, there is just about no other CB in the world I would rather have on the pitch than Romero.

Saying that, I do believe his card has been marked so if we were offered 60ml and he wanted to leave I would wish him the best and cash in.

Ca n not disagree with any of that, if he wants to go and kicks up a fuss about it would be sad. But i really hope we see him in a Spurs shirt next season guess we will have to wait and see
