FRANK OUT

I think we should sack our managers after 6 months, it's the only way we can please our fan base. Who cares if we win anything, play well or have decent players, what we want is something to moan about.
I think I'll dump Spurs and support the team that is top of the league each week I can then bathe in the reflected glory I'll recieve for being smarter than everyone else.
Hole in one!

Once again, I don't want him gone yet, but have some reservations. I hoped to see improvement, but if anything I think we are looking worse.

The question being for any clubs is when is the right time to let a manager go. Being loyal to the manager is one thing, but when the team is sliding down the league, the gate receipts start to drop, people aren't buying the merchandise, and the squad has lost faith in the leadership, the club has only one choice. Needless to say, no club in their right mind can wait until it's too late, so they then have to get the timing right. Frank is nowhere near that point yet, and I hope he can turn things around, however we are looking very much like a mid-table side with a top six squad, and that's what is worrying!

VeryoldSpur, serious question: why do you even bother watching football?
I watch football for entertainment. Every time I go to a live game (and I do about 6 a year) it costs me about £200 a game when all is taken into account. I am not of the opinion it doesn't matter how bad we look, how many games we lose, as long as I get behind the team. I spend a lot of money watching Spurs, and like anything I spend my money on I expect value for money. At present I'm not getting that, so I feel I have every right to complain. I want Frank to succeed, but when it get's to the point I believe he can't deliver what I want in a reasonable period of time, I'll call for his head

There are of course supporters who believe we should all get behind the manager regardless of what he is producing. There were even supporters who wanted Ange to stay, even they knew in their heart of hearts he would probably end up getting us relegated. I am not one of those people

We don't need threads with this sort of title, there are enough media sites peddling this sort of crap. I don't think many are happy with our lack of consistency and I don't believe we can agree on what our best starting team is due to players injury and form, now the time toget behind the team.

I think you're an idealist, I gave up expecting value for money on anything sometime in the last century.

A forum is to share opinions and debate, forums are not for people who just want to agree with each other and nod their heads. Finally, it's impossible to get behind your team on an internet forum, that can only be done in the stadium

Exactly this, you touch yourself, you makes your choice, if you pay as a supporter you suck it up, thats how I see it.

BTW if the Author of this thread doesn't want Frank sacked, why did we need a new thread/?
I was asking a question, NOT making a statement. It's presently quite split out there at the moment. Half of my pals want him gone, the half (like me) want to give him more time. I would say though that all of us have reservations.

So you believe that regardless of what you spend you don't have the right to an opinion, and should just suck up the rubbish supplied. Of course, you are entitled to that opinion, but it certainly isn't one I share, and it certainly isn't one the majority of supporters share either

I mean this still could have gone in the other Frank thread.

I believe you have a choice to go or not go. I think you have a right to complain of course, but I honestly still think as a supporter, once you have decided to pay you should be more inclined to support than sulk all the time moaning about the price.

The price although expensive comes as the cost to attend to watch the side you supposedly love. Having to repeat what you expect for the money you pay is not the same as a football supporter as it is for a consumer of other products if you decide to continue to pay it

The thread title just keeps doing this to me

Despite the thread title I don't presently think Spurs should sack him, but I think anyone who has been watching Spurs this season must have reservations. It's great that he is a pragmatic manager, and is prepared to change teams and tactics depending on our opposition, however it's pretty obvious he is making mistake after mistake. I believe we have a top six squad, but I don't believe we will finish anywhere near top six, and that can only be down to the manager. I appreciate we have key injuries, but that will never change. From here on in I want to see some improvement, and I don't think that is unreasonable. I genuinely believe that if we lost the Fulham game today, then Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Brentford, he will be skating on very thin ice.

Your opinions please
We don't and I think that's the genesis of your issue. You're overrating what we do have and thus your expectations are never going to be met.

Your concerns about the quality of the football played so far have their validity but you're never going to be satisfied if that is the standard you expect because we are not that.

Or where people just post any old crap to start an argument
